So today I finally had my hair cut. I’m sooo pleased with the results

Had my hair cut today and walking through town before heading home I noticed something. I am no longer worried about people noticing the differences in length. The hairdresser was able to blend it so you’d never know. She also said my hair is healthy too. It was the hardest but most important haircut of my life. The regrowth was hidden under my massive mop. But now it’s part of my hair again

Although not fully recovered I’m now ready to get my first haircut in 4 years

I have decided on a style and it’ll be something I’ve never had before but it will blend nicely. I am trying to be positive but even before trich I never liked going to hairdressers. Has anyone got any advice on how to bring up the fact I am recovering from trich to the stylist. To mitigate awkwardness I plan to see a stylist I’ve never seen before because I think that will be easier but what else should I consider?

Been lurking for most of the last year but today I decided to be brave and to share my progress

While I’ve not been active in this thread I’ve been lurking and people’s regrowth photos gave me hope that my hair would come back. I have a mix of pulling, stress and hormone related hair loss. But the pulling left a big spot. Last year my mum told me and I swore I’d stop pulling. I haven’t been perfect but I am 99% recovered. I hope my progress provides hope for someone else as others once provided hope for me. I am planning to get another few months of length before cutting my hair. I am fortunate that I have hair on the faster growing end of the spectrum.
