Baldur's Gate is my favorite franchise and I couldn't play the last installment yet. I managed to ignore/avoid spoilers for years but now I can't hold it anymore, I need to play it. So I'm asking here.

Since the game is very expensive, I searched for better ways to obtain it.

The normal edition costs ~70.00 USD on the Xbox Store or ~245.00 BRL (I'm from Brazil)

The deluxe edition costs ~80.00 USD or ~295.00 BRL.

Loaded sells 100.00 BRL Xbox Gift cards for ~22.00 USD each. With 3 gift cards I can get the deluxe edition for less than the normal edition price. I can accept gift cards from different people so maybe a few (3) people can chip in to help.

I'll be very grateful if someone gives me this game and I'll play it to exhaustion (I played BG/BGEE about 7 times in the last 20 years. BG2/BG2EE about 5 times. When my financial situation improves (I hope very soon, I'm working on it) I promise to pass forward and help people get their games in the future (this is not conditional to receiving or not receiving my game)

I love Baldur's Gate. Like many others, it was the first CRPG I ever played—borrowed from a friend from my TTRPG group. Years went by, and I discovered others... Baldur's Gate 2, Icewind Dale, Pool of Radiance, Planescape: Torment... even more recent titles like Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pillars of Eternity.

But I've never managed to play Baldur's Gate 3. There were two obstacles before: I didn't have a PC powerful enough to run the game, and I didn't have the money to buy it. Recently, I've been able to pay for Xbox Game Pass using Microsoft Rewards, so I have a way to play (via xCloud), but I still don't have the money to buy the game itself. That's where you come in: I'm asking for a copy of Baldur's Gate 3.

Since I'm in Brazil, the best way to gift it is via gift cards. I'm asking for three R$ 100 gift cards; each one costs $21.49. With three cards, I'll be able to buy the game from Xbox Store. If it's not against the rules, I'm even happy to accept one card at a time and save up gradually. The total value of the cards (R$ 300.00) is enough to buy the Deluxe Edition (which costs R$ 297.45)—meaning I'd pay less than the price of the standard edition (which is selling for nearly $70/R$ 260 in the store).

I'm not sure if I can post the link here, but the cards I found at that price are on Loaded.

I'm also open to a direct gift from the store (if the person is in Brazil) or a global game key... In those cases, the standard edition is fine; I don't specifically need the Deluxe Edition.

Let me tell you what happened this week:

I'm so desperately needing to play Baldur's Gate 3 and even though I'm asking here I know that it's an expensive game and I have very low hopes of getting it. I'm trying because "Why not?"

This week I was thinking of a way to play it that wouldn't involve begging for it. Then I had a "brilliant" Idea: I'll ask to join someone's Steam Family with BG3 and play it using Geforce Now free tier, something that I already do when I want to play my steam games. I can play two or three hours every late night or early morning with almost no queue. I don't have a biiig steam library but have nice games (Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, Witcher 3, Pathfinder Kingmaker, Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2, BGEE... ) The idea looked perfect. I searched Reddit for a specific sub and found someone that wanted family members and the person had BG3! Perfect!

I asked to join and the person didn't respond. Some time later someone asked "Wanna join mine?" I told that my only requirement was to join a family that had Baldur's Gate 3. Then I was told "You're lucky because I will buy it today" then I accepted. I had to change my region and let him login on my steam to make it work (He was a nice guy and didn't messed my account) but since then I'm here waiting and... Nothing. I don't want to ask if he will buy it or not, so I'll just leave my Steam there for three months (the time I need to change my region again) and share my library with other people in the "family".

Well, all this because I hate to say no or be assertive about what I want.

So my plan failed and I'm back here, asking for a good soul to gift me BG3.

Why Xbox instead of Steam?

I don't have a PC or even a console but I have Xbox Gamepass that allows me to play on xcloud. I have a phone, a TV, a Xbox controller and a fairly good internet connection. With this I make my strange setup to play: I connect the controller to the phone and mirror the phone on TV. I could play in Steam using Geforce Now (like my plan mentioned) using the free tier but it would greatly limit my time to play. With xcloud I can play anytime, or most of the time at least.

Why don't you buy it yourself instead of begging for it?

Since I found this sub I'm trying to get this game here. I'm going through a lot of health issues (physical and mental) and I've been unable to work - I do some freelance work eventually but nothing else. I'm trying for a government assistance and I hope that in a few months I will get it. Then I plan to get a new pc (for work but I can play as well)

Ok. Now the worst part: I'm from Brazil and it makes it hard to gift directly (unless you're from Brazil too) so I'm asking for a gift card (in Brazilian Reais) to buy it and take advantage of the sale price (~50 USD or ~181 BRL). There are reliable sites to buy it from. If the gifter wants to buy a global key there are also (not so reliable) sites. I'm open to anything. The 50 USD gift card actually converts into 200 BRL, with the remaining value I can buy the deluxe upgrade next month (just mentioning to make clear that I'll use all the money with the game), but if the gifter allows I'll use to help pay my subscription (since I pay using Microsoft Rewards and I'm always getting just a little more than the subscription price)

The other day I was bored and thinking about what to play. I realized that what I really want to play is Baldur's Gate 3. What did I do? I restarted the first game on the console. The last time I finished this game was around 2012/13 on PC. Back then I remember buying it when the enhanced edition for PC came out (back then I could buy games at launch... Oh, how things have changed!). The game has aged well, but it's dated, especially in the graphics and pacing.

But I think it's my mind forcing the thought "I don't want this ugly, old game. I want the new one! GIVE IT TO ME!"

So here I am again, swallowing my pride and begging for a blessed soul to help this broken creature play its favorite franchise.

(Note about BG1: It's amazing how this game has the ability to bring back so many good memories that, while I'm playing, it makes me truly happy – and that's huge for someone who lives with depression and wants to get better. I get goosebumps with simple things like "Heya! It's me, Imoen!" or laugh with "My hotel's as clean as an elven arse!" )

It's important to remember that I'm from Brazil, so it needs to be a global key or store credits for me to buy the regional version (~60 USD / 260 BRL – every time I stop to think about that price I think "Keep dreaming that someone will give it to you"). The eneba website (the only one of these sites I know is reliable) sells the global key for the deluxe edition for 70 USD; I didn't find the base version there.

I have asked for the game on another sub but before that I read some old posts and I saw one in which a person is donating the code for the digital version that came with their physical copy of the game.

Does anyone know if this code is for a specific location or global?

If it is global, MAYBE someone has it unredeemed and the code is getting old, sad and unused in a cold and lonely box waiting for a big BG3 fan to play...

Life hasn't been great for me lately. Since the pandemic I've never got back on my feet. Just recently I resumed my depression treatment after years that I stopped because I was mad that no medicine seems to work with me. I'm unemployed and I live with my sister and nephews/nieces while I wait for a government assistance program money that should cover my expenses and allow me to get back on my feet (like buy a PC so I can get some freelance jobs). I try to help as much as I can, keep the house tidy and all children fed and happy. Our agreement seems to work for now.

That's the sad part. I'm explaining because I feel that it is important to tell since I'm asking for a great deal.

My nephew was gifted a used Xbox one from a relative last Christmas. Since then I started with Microsoft Rewards so I can pay for a gamepass subscription so he can have a lot of games to play. After many months I was able to pay for ultimate and every month I can renew it with like, 1 hour a day. (Ultimate allows to gain a lot more points than no subscription)

Since I got gamepass on my account I have access to xcloud and it reignited my passion for gaming. (Look, you know you're really depressed when things you used to love stops to be fun)

I rarely play on his xbox one. Sometimes I just ask for the controller and I play using my phone connected to a TV (yes, that's my gaming setup). Sometimes I just play on my phone with touch controls (a lot of games works well )

Since I started to play, I was able to finish two series that I started in the past but haven't played their last/final installments (Mass Effect and Dragon Age). Now I only need one to finish and it's not on gamepass.

Baldur's Gate is my favourite game ever since my teenage years. My friend borrowed me that 5-disc version of the game (yes, maybe I'm a little old to be here asking for a game) and I played it entirely with a English dictionary and a notebook, translating word for word those big chunks of text, dialogues and descriptions.  That's how I started my self-taught journey with the English language.

That was a good time. There was not much to worry, we just had school during the week and played ttrpgs every sunday. No health issues, no depression, no unemployment. It was just get back home from school, play BG and, if I was DM'ing, plan the next D&D session (or Vampire: the Masquerade, we played VtM a lot. And... Fuck. There's a sequel for that bloodlines game, isn't? Ok, not now. I digress.)

So that's what I'm asking: to play and caught up my favourite game franchise, maybe trying to relive some of those old days memories and feel better to continue this journey. I know, this game is expensive (here in Brazil the BRL price is almost 10% of our minimal wage). I'm just giving it a shot, in case anyone feels like helping this (not-so-)old soul.

I discovered this sub when thinking a way to get "Slay the Spire" after they took it out of gamepass. I ended buying it in a sale.

I came here to close my post and I was thinking: "Which game I really want to play and can't buy at the moment?"

The answer was clear: Baldur's Gate 3.

I am a big fan of the two original games. I learned English by myself while playing Baldur's Gate. (That's why my English is like this... I've never studied officially)

It was just me, an English dictionary and a notebook where I translated every piece of dialogue and description. I played the second game years after and by then my understanding of English had improved a lot.

When people asked "What's your favourite game?" my answer was quick: Baldur's Gate series. I was very passionate about Dragon Age as well because it was the spiritual sequel until BG3. But that was the second place, BG series was the first.

Since they launched the third installment I always have to justify my answer: "Yeah, I didn't play the third game yet. I'm not playing much games ultimately."

So that's it: I want Baldur's Gate 3 to finish the story I started years ago. I know very little about this game because I purposely avoided information until I played it by myself.

Note: In the case of someone asking: "Why do you have Gamepass Ultimate and can't buy the game?" Answer: I keep my gamepass subscription with Microsoft Rewards. Every month I get barely the points needed to exchange for the subscription. Having a gamepass is the only way I can play games that aren't mobile games, as I don't own a console or PC atm. I have a Xbox controller and with xcloud I can play it on my TV or tablet/phone using xcloud.

Sou H43. Eu tô todo zicado há anos com minha vida indo ladeira abaixo. Eu tenho depressão resistente a medicamentos e é um saco ficar tomando remédios por meses e o psiquiatra dizer "É, esse não tá funcionando. vamos tentar esse aqui combinado com aquele ali" É sério, eu já tomei todo ISRS disponível no brasil. Eu parei o tratamento várias vezes, por encher o saco mesmo. De não querer ficar tomando remédio todo dia, e às vezes tomando outros remédios pra combater os efeitos colaterais do primeiro.

Eu não trabalho desde 2019. No meu último emprego eu fiquei afastado por auxílio doença por 3 meses se me lembro bem. Depois que acabou o afastamento eu não voltei mais lá,.larguei mão. Nem atrás dos rescisórios eu fui (a gente sempre tem direito a alguma coisinha mesmo saindo assim) e nem dei baixa na carteira.

Por um tempo eu vivi de economias, eu sou/era bom em economizar mas não em investir. As economias acabaram, fui viver com minha mãe em outra cidade. A partir daí eu virei aquele típico ser humano chamado "estorvo", alguém que só existe pra ocupar espaço no mundo e não contribui em nada com a sociedade. Quando as pessoas me perguntam o que eu faço da vida eu digo, sorrindo "Eu sou um estorvo" e deixo ela pensando.

Minha mãe morreu em 2021 de COVID, aí eu fui ser estorvo na vida da minha irmã (que já morava com minha mãe antes). Antes nós tínhamos uma relação afetiva ótima, mas hoje eu sei que minha irmã daria tudo pra não ver mais minha cara. Eu acho que ela só me mantém aqui pq meu sobrinho mais novo me adora e ele sentiria minha ausência.

Aí recentemente eu decidi ir atrás de algo pra recomeçar, uma ajuda pra entrar nos trilhos de novo. Pesquisando eu descobri o LOAS/BPC que é um benefício que o governo oferece pra pessoas em certas condições, uma delas a incapacidade de trabalhar. Eu não me considero incapaz de trabalhar, eu estou incapacitado de trabalhar.

Eu fui no CRAS da cidade e a assistente social ouviu toda minha história e me deu o caminho pra conseguir esse benefício e disse que com um laudo do meu psiquiatra é bem possível que eu consiga. (Ah, esqueci de dizer que alguns meses atrás eu voltei a passar no psiquiatra e explicando meus tratamentos anteriores ele fez uma combinação que parece estar funcionando pra mim - pra quem entende é sertralina com bupropiona)

Aí eu vou na casa do meu irmão e estamos conversando sobre isso e ele pergunta se eu tenho Caixa TEM, pq parece que esses benefícios são enviados por lá. Eu tenho pq recebi aquele auxílio emergencial na época do covid. Lá na casa dele mesmo eu tentei abrir o app e ele pediu uma confirmação por whatsapp. Eu falei pra ele que estava sem whatsapp pq estou usando meu celular sem chip há maís de um ano. Ele ficou revoltado e pegou 50 reais e disse "Vai lá no lugar X e pega um chip" eu aceitei pq né... Eu estava precisando.

Quando cheguei no lugar eu perguntei o preço e a menina falou "Tem de 25 e 35" e eu sem querer abusar peguei o mais barato. Passei no meu irmão na volta e deixei o troco e agradeci dizendo que ia pra casa configurar o chip no celular. Fiz tudo mas nao conseguia fazer nada que exija SMS (tipo habilitar o whatsapp que preciso ora habilitar o Caixa TEM) aí fuçando eu achei uma mensagem dizendo algo como é "faça uma recarga para usufruir de todos os benefícios do seu vivo" e aí me dei conta que eu comprei chip sem recarga e que eu devia ter comprado o de 35.

Agora estou aqui com um número morto que não funciona, querendo reabilitar algumas coisas na minha vida (voltar a ter whatsapp, conta bancária) por causa de 10 reais. Sem querer pedir pra minha irmã ou abusar do meu irmão - talvez amanhã eu crie coragem de dizer a burrada que fiz e ele vai oferecer ajuda de novo como sempre faz e eu vou aceitar pq sou um estorvo.

Minha vida é uma merda.

(Isso pq eu nem entrei no assunto da minha dívida de R$ 80.000 por um semestre que não paguei numa faculdade em 2010 e virou um processo na justiça que eu só descobri em 2017 - eu me mudava muito e o oficial de justiça nunca conseguiu me entregar a intimação - e depois que soube desse valor passei a fingir que não existe. Mas eu sei que cedo ou tarde isso vai voltar a me assombrar)

Não sei se o que escrevi faz sentido. Mas desabafos geralmente não fazem muito sentido mesmo. Muitos elementos da vida se misturando fica confuso.

Here where I live the internet is already terrible but functional. The modem and router are kept on the ground in a corner of the living room. The internet for the TV works fine, they are nearby.

Around the house it works well for amenities (messaging, YouTube, browsing)

But I'm far from the router, with many walls between us. I receive bad 2.4GHz signal and no 5GHz at all. And I want that juicy 5Ghz for me because I play a lot on Xcloud.

So i need to make our internet terrible, to the point they will start to complain and I can just suggest that the router should be put in a better place and that maybe that better place is my room.

Unfortunately I don't have access to the router background. Our ISP blocks it.

Eu estou numa fase difícil depressão,desemprego, morando de favor e pra variar sem pc pq o meu morreu.

Eu estou dando entrada no Loas/BPC mas eu não quero viver de benefício a vida inteira.

Eu estive pesquisando alternativas baratas de ter um pc pelo menos decente e esbarrei no fantástico mundo dos mini PCs recondicionados. Mas eles parecem ser uma alternativa tão boa que eu chego a desconfiar. Um core i5 com 16gb de ram por 1700 parece esmola demais

Eu ainda tô contando as moedas e esperando o benefício pra ver que fazer. Eu quero mais pra rodar um processador de texto ou planilha, mas se der pra jogar alguma coisa eu não vou reclamar.

Eu posso confiar nesses PCs? (É meio que isso ou nada)

I have a Huawei WiFi AX2S (WS7000 V2), and I ran into a pretty frustrating issue after trying to access the router settings.

A few days ago, I tried to log into the admin panel, but it asked for a password I didn’t have. The interface suggested doing a reset if I couldn’t remember it — which I did. That turned out to be a big mistake.

After the reset, the router created two networks with my ISP’s default name (like “ISP” and “ISP\_5G”), but I couldn’t connect to either of them. The SSID and password printed on the router didn’t work, and I was left without internet.

What saved me temporarily was using a WiFi extender in router mode by plugging it into the modem via Ethernet.

The next day, my sister (the account holder) contacted the ISP, and they fixed it… partially. Now I have internet again, but they removed the 5 GHz network entirely — which is a problem since I use it a lot for xCloud gaming.

I’d rather not bother my sister to contact them again, so I’m hoping to fix this myself. I need help with two things:

• How can I re-enable the 5 GHz network?

• How can I get full access to the router settings if it keeps asking for a password I don’t know?

Any help would be appreciated.

Pelamor de Deus. Alguém sabe qual o senha do roteador Huawei wi-fi AX2S. A operadora é a micropic (atende sul de minas, Extrema,. Munhoz,.Toledo, Cambuí, Itapeva etc).

Eu preciso dessa senha pra fazer uma coisa mas não posso pedir pra titular ir atrás (aquela coisa que "não mexe no que tá quieto"). Mas eu preciso habilitar a conexão 5GHz que sumiu (é só eu uso pra cloud gaming então ninguém notou pq todo mundo usa 2.4GHz e essa contínua normal)
