Please help me make my home music-studio feel and look more lively and inspiring to work from

Hi all.

I'm a professional musician/music producer. For most of my work, I work out of my home-studio that I designed and got made inside my rented apartment. It's been over a year since I moved in. I now have some time and headspace to think about making this space warmer and more inspiring to be in. This is also a place where musicians come in every now and then, when we're not renting out a professional studio in the city.

Sharing 3 photos from different corners of the room.

My challenge is that it's a rental, so no (more) drilling into walls, no painting, no permanent changes. Everything has to be moveable or removable.

What I'm thinking about:

- Floor/table lamps with warm light to replace the harsh tubelight (it's quite distracting, especially for my ADHD brain. And I'd rather have my eyes drawn to the workstation)

- LED strips - behind/underneath the desk, or elsewhere?

- A soft pendant lamp hanging from the acoustic ceiling panels (they're on chains, and there's a ceiling fan connection up there) - though I'm not fully sure about this yet

- Fake plants? I travel too much to keep real ones alive.

- I'd love art on the walls, there's no empty wall space.

I do have a couple of smart bulbs and a smart LED strip lying around unused. I'll likely get an electrician in too, since the switchboards are inconveniently placed.

I'm not very fond of the neon/man-cave look. I'd like the room warm, slightly moody, creative. Like a place that makes you *want* to make something the moment you walk in.

Any ideas? Light placement suggestions? Budget is around ₹10k or so.

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Looking to connect with folks with ADHD for Google Meet work-accountability meet-ups

Hi folks!

As the title says - I'm looking to connect with one or more reliable people (ideally a small group of 2-4) who are working from home and having trouble being productive and staying consistent - for body doubling on Google meet on weekdays, 10am - 3pm ish (IST).

For context, body doubling is basically simulating a workspace where you feel some pressure to actually work because the other person around you is also working. It's the best thing I've found for staying consistently productive despite my ADHD. There are already services like Focusmate on the internet for this, which I have used in the past as well. But I'm just trying to reduce all the friction and just log-in on a Google Meet link and start working in the simulated work-space.

I am based in Chennai, and in my mid 30s. I already have a startup founder (late 30s/early 40s, also has ADHD) from Bangalore I do this with regularly during the weekdays, but the problem with having just one person is that whenever they're not available, your whole day goes sideways. So looking to have a few more people to be accountable with so that we can all get our stuff done while on the Google Meet call, without interrupting or disturbing the other.

DM me if anyone's interested.

Thanks.
