Adjuster trying to deny appraisal
In Michigan my roof was damaged by wind damage all around the house i had a contractor confirm the damage. Soon after i filed claim. Adjuster came out a created an estimate for just repairs (they agreed roof was damaged for repairs) i demanded appraisal and sent in a detailed itemized demand estimate from contractor this is my proof of loss.
Why is adjuster denying my appraisal demand? And saying he denying based off no detailed
His specific words:
“We have received your written request for appraisal but must respectfully deny the request until a detailed
proof of loss estimate is submitted stating the difference you would like take to appraisal. Once we have
received the detailed proof of loss, we will review the same”
I sent the estimate in to him directly and sent to him through general mail box of the company when I first demanded appraisal why is he lying?
After denying the request he followed up by saying he sending out a engineer to inspect my property from what I hear from my contractor, he is sending out an engineer to deny my claim or help with evidence of denying my claim by tying up the appraisal. Can I deny the engineer inspection and reaffirm my appraisal demand and sending a screenshot of the estimate already being provided to them and also resending a copy of the estimate?
