Finally liking my color again, but my ends keep giving me attitude

I’m in that weird stage where I actually like my hair color for once, but the ends are still humbling me every time I dry it. My roots and mids look fine, then the last few inches get that rough feeling once everything is fully drying down. Not crispy exactly, just not soft in the way I expected after doing a careful routine. I use leave in, try not to rub it with a towel, and I don’t blast it on the hottest setting. Still, the ends kind of announce themselves lol.

I’m trying to figure out if this is just normal for processed hair, or if my technique is secretly making it worse. Do you usually treat rough ends as a trim sign, a moisture sign, or a “you dried it wrong” sign?

I want a stress hobby that doesn’t turn into another assignment

I keep seeing people recommend crafts for stress relief, and honestly I think there’s something to it when the craft is simple enough. My brain does better when my hands have one clear thing to do, but not when the hobby becomes a whole performance. I’m curious what people here would call the best low-pressure crafts for mental health days. Miniature kits, paint by number, stitching, clay, puzzles, anything with a small visible finish line.

What has helped you calm down without making you feel like you need to be good at it?
