Colored cage

I currently have the stock non-cert cat eye chrome cage for my 950. I would love something in purple for my new design.

I can see various colored cages online. Are these sketchy or legit? Would prefer to stick with cat eye. Any recommendations for retailers?

Carnival Panorama drink spots

First time on Panorama. I’ve recently stopped drinking. I’m looking forward to drinking as much soda as I can but the idea of waiting in line at a noisy crowded bar is not fun. Does anyone know the best spots to grab sodas from? Last cruise I discovered the little coffee bar had Red Bull which made me happy. They didn’t have soda though.

Took the plunge

After going from Apple Watch to Venu 3 to the Venu 4 on release I finally got into the world of recreational running. And then decided I needed for some bizarre reason to invest in a Fēnix 8.

No regrets. What a watch. I didn’t know I could get through my day without knowing my right foot contacts the ground 1.2% more than my left.

Looking forward to taking it scuba diving later this year. Will wear it playing ice hockey tomorrow. And looking forward to Mondays run too.

Seriously I’m the world’s most average recreational athlete. But I do love this watch.

Second solo adventure - Lessons Learned!

So I just got back from my second solo backpacking trip in Western MD, USA. Here are lessons learned and pearls of wisdom I have decided upon.

After you set up camp, lay in your tent to make sure you haven’t set it up on an angle!

Tick check BEFORE bed 🤢

If you think it might get cold, it will get cold.

If you think it won’t rain, it will rain.

If you startle a black bear, chances are you both peed yourself a little.

The person in the campsite next to you will always have a Bluetooth speaker at high volume. Bring ear plugs.

Freight train sounds can carry for miles in the mountains.

Invest in a good pillow!

Sunscreen.

Set an alarm to watch the sun rise over the lake with a cup of camp coffee.

Slow down and enjoy. Stop every now and then and just look around at the beauty around you.

✌🏻 can’t wait to get back out there again soon.

Overnight to multiple nights?

I’ve taken a few overnight solo backpacking trips. Love em. I’m ready to take the leap into multiple nights out. My question is other than having to carry extra food is there anything else to be mindful of moving from straight overnights to more?

Hello gang, I am trying to decide between the Osprey Eja 58 and the REI Co-Op Flash 55.

I do mainly solo weekend trips in mountainous areas and I am fit and experienced as a hiker. I’m looking to shed some weight from my old Osprey pack, and also lose some volume since my current 65L is just too much.

If anyone has experience with either pack can you please chime in? I’m not of unlimited funds so this purchase isn’t an impulse one and I want to hold this pack for a while to come.

Thanks in advance!

I’ve been driving 20 minutes down to my local wooded park area to run and it’s lovely for sure. But part of me thinks just stepping out my front door might be even easier and quicker.

But my neighborhood is all hills. In every damn direction. They murder me. Should I stick with my hills and know they will ultimately make me stronger and fitter and put up with the suffering or just keep driving down to the park?
