Has anyone here asked their parents what they want before they die? If so, how did you bring it up?
I feel like there is a lot of stigma around talking to your aging parents about death, mainly because it can definitely feel scary/stressful for both parties. But I think it's incredibly important to have these conversations with your parents when they are still alive and well, before a crisis happens and you are forced to talk about it, or never get the chance to at all. It makes things so much less complicated when you are actually the one facing those decisions after they are gone.
For anyone who has had the talk with your parents, how did it start? And what advice would you give someone who knows they need to have it but keeps putting it off?
