Aight, so boom. I got it in my head how Storm never had any pictures of her as a child until she met her grandparents, who only have pictures of her until she was six. So there's a gap between ages 6 and roughly 20-22, when she joined the X-Men. (Lifedream 2025 places her age at 30.)
Anyway, in my head canon, the camera that started all the trouble in the Dickey miniseries (Storm #1, 2006) was eventually lost and found and pawned and etc. It lands in the hands of the daughter of a recently deceased photographer, who replaced the old memory card and never took it the old out of his camera bag. Most of the pictures on the card were corrupted after so many years, of course, but three of them remained, and the daughter managed to get word all the way to T'Challa.
