Los Angeles-Is open to being a model and sharing their hair loss/thin hair journey? I am offering a Non permanent Korean treatment

Hi Guys!

I am a MoriTint technician based in Los Angeles which means I specialize in Korean scalp micropigmentation which is different from traditional SMP. This is NOT permanent (Lasts 8 months to just over a year with touch up) and only sits on the outer layer of the skin and is incredibly natural and UNDETECTABLE.

I am a licensed body art practitioner who had been working in the beauty sector since I was a child (literally born into the family business). I became a social worker/counselor for many years now and always knew I wanted to return back to the beauty sector but I wanted to actually have my work resonate with me. Hair loss (I've gone through it) is extremely common but yet so vulnerable and people don't like to talk about it. My mission is to remove the shame around hair loss and wanting to have your hair back. I've had some incredible models sit in my chair and share their story with me. I have been refining my craft for a year now and just opened my books in May. I am hoping to find people who are game to share their story on my socials for a complimentary service. I am looking for a maximum 5 models and I have 4/5 slots open now.

This is a quick description but you can find much more on my instagram. You can find photos of my work on my instagram but I hope to be able to collaborate in a safe environment and bring some confidence back into your lives as well!

So I had been experiencing hair loss since I was 20 years old and always been self conscious about my thin hair. I was on minoxidil but it didn’t work for me since it wasn’t exactly a condition causing my hair loss since I’ve naturally had sparse hair aside from telogen effluvium which I am managing. I went to Korea and found out about Korean scalp micro pigmentation and got it done there a few years back literally back in 2017. I legit was so happy with the results and never got the funds to go back to Korea. The pigment faded but lasted a year! I just let it go. I’m also a beauty provider and have been in the beauty industry for quite some time now and came across this incredible teacher who was offering this technique in California!

So… I ended up deciding to learn the craft called MoriTint a year ago and did it on myself and am now offering the service to people in LA. Im working towards education for other people because its so new and people don’t know about it. know it’s coming off as a salesy post but I’m honestly not kidding when I say it boosted my confidence. I’m not going to go in depth about it but these are my before and after photos! There are a few practitioners scattered around the US so if you can find one near you. I seriously vouch for it. Not only as a provider but as a client who appreciated the support it gave me while my hair grew back. 🥹

I also wanted to add that theres a HUGE misconception of this service and SMP. They are NOT the same at least here in the US. Hence why I’m spreading education about it. I have some posts cooking soon explaining the difference.

SMP is permanent and goes into the dermis layer. SMP risks blow out and ink migration if you fall into the wrong hands.

MoriTint is NOT permanent but long lasting and goes into the epidermis. MoriTint lasts 8 months to a year dependent on touch ups! And fades away completely when you want it to go.

It uses an entirely different machine and technique as SMP. I hope this helps for you guys to make an informed take on this service 🫶🏼

Edit: there’s some replies about the legitimacy of this service. But I totally understand because its so new to the US. But common in Korea as all the idols get this done and gate keep it lol. this is a service best for those who have thinning hair or sparse areas as it serves as a long term “hair powder” or “hair fiber” solution. It’s not ONLY for those who are losing hair but even those who just want a fuller look.

If you are bald or experiencing major hair loss with no surrounding hair. Unfortunately it wouldn’t be a good option for you.

Reddit took down my post in another thread so I’m not putting my socials in but I still want you guys to know this service exists because it was sincerely such a game changer.
