The Wait is Over!

I find it fitting that on the six month anniversary of Megan Keller’s Golden Goal the signed photo I ordered from Fanatics finally arrived. I ordered this in March and it is a 16x20 photo with a matte and wooden frame. I almost forgot I ordered until I got a delivery notification. It will be a nice piece on my office wall.

It Finally Arrived!

Received my piece of game used net a couple weeks ago from the MSG game. Unfortunately did not get a piece with much puck residue but I am still happy. I do like that it is not 1 of 100 but actually tells me what number I have. The frame was something that I designed and 3D printed so I could display it on my office wall.

Thoughts on Preakness Losing Prestige and Not Being a Triple Crown Race Anymore?

Saw in the Baltimore Banner that Kentucky and New York Racing Authorities have teamed up to create a new six race series of horse racing that excludes the Preakness and extend the calendar. Looks like it is the result of Maryland not letting Churchill Downs acquire the Preakness IP. What are your thoughts on this considering the renovation of Pimlico happening now?

Lucky Strike Converting to String Pins

For those of you who are avid or more serious bowlers the Lucky Strike on Deepage is actively installing string pin machines. So far it looks like 1-6 are up and running and 7-12 are shut down for the work. Lanes 13-32 are still free fall but I spoke to the manager and apparently these are newer string machines used by the PBA at a tournament in Nevada. The string is different and the PBA wants to try these machines at more locations. The Lucky Strike will be the second house with the newer design in the country. Installation should be complete on all 32 lanes in two weeks. Just giving everyone a heads up so you can go to Normandy if you prefer free fall.

New Ball Day!

I know it is just a Rhino but this will be my first ball that was manufactured this millennium. I have been using a Brunswick reactive that I purchased in 1999.

Jackson Pond Tunnel

I was out on the trails yesterday afternoon and the detour signs for the tunnel to Jackson Pond were removed. Lo and behold I walked towards Tamar and the route was open again. No more detour through the tunnel by the Phelps Luck Pool and through the neighborhood.

Ford Cars With Real Grille Section

Does anybody remember what era of car was the Ford that had an actual plastic piece for the grill adhered to the nose in lieu of a decal? I believe it was the Fusion name plate but I can't remember if it was the early COT or the early Gen 6 car. I remember several races where Fox was quick to point out that the manufacturer was using an actual part to give a better appearance of the street version of the car. This did not last long though because I remember several debris cautions because it came off on the track and NASCAR quickly decided to go with a decal instead.
