Switching away from a provider I don't have access to the account of.

Hi! My household has been with TPG for a while but it has been under my mum's name. She passed away and so I've been paying for the internet subscription myself since then from her account but recently we've seemed to have lost her phone (which they send a verification text to in order to access the account) and cannot get into the TPG account to fix whatever issue they've decided is preventing internet usage.

So I was thinking of switching over to another provider (Aussie broadband I think I kept seeing is good?) but I'm not sure if that will automatically cancel the subscription with TPG or not and if I'd end up paying both unless I somehow convinced tpg to cancel that account and stop billing despite not being on the account in name and no longer having access to it.

Proper E levels?

Hi! I think I'm relatively well educated on the topic but am not quite sure about it now because I frequently see people saying their E levels are 800-1000 pmol/l+ and my understanding was that 367-734 pmol/l was the standard range (100 pg/ml - 200 pg/ml). I also know auspath recommends 250-600 pmol/l

I do mostly see those higher 1000+ levels mentioned in regards to pellets/implants so I'm not sure if those are a special case?

I also wonder if it's like.. people saying 1000+ pmol/l are referencing total estrogen compared to a lower actual E2 amount which is what should be in the 367-734 range? (or 250-600 from auspath) not sure the standard when those numbers are shared.

I ask because I am going to see my gp (They specifically offer gaht with an informed consent model and whatnot, they're not a random GP) in a couple weeks at my 6 month mark about my levels. I want to know what I should argue for if I need to. My last levels at 4 month mark was E2 (oestradiol) at 164 pmol/l with 4mg (2mg every 12 hours) oral estradiol. I was upped to 8mg (gp wanted to try 6 but I asked for 8, they let me.)

So I guess I just want to feel confident knowing what to ask for, if I should ask for more or not depending on my levels then. They implied that they wouldn't want me over 600 as per the auspath guidelines last time I saw them, not sure how willing to budge they are.

And yes my T is suppressed well. 0.5 nmol/l. We lowered my cypro dose a little (from 12.5mg every other day to 2x a week). My tests were and will be done at trough. Yes I know oral is the worst form. It's the easiest for me. I just thought I'd pre empt any stuff in that vein.

Thank you!

I’m trying to maintain hope with what hair changes I’ve noticed so far

Hi! I started topical minoxidil and finasterade about 10 months ago and hrt (oral estradiol and cyproterone acetate. Just upped estradiol to 8mg daily from 4mg where levels were 160 pmol/l) 4 months ago. Also just turned 22, started noticing balding around 19 so I’m hoping the fact it’s not been so so many years plays in my favor?

I was probably about a norwood 4 with a lot of thinning over scalp and crown. I didn’t notice a whole lot of change before hrt (though I wasn’t tracking it, just coping and trying not to think about it until I could start hrt. I’m sure there was probably some thickening over scalp?) but as soon as I started hrt I noticed a very thin covering of small invisible hairs covering my hairline. They’ve very slowly in the 4 months since seemed to have gotten thicker/longer (maybe like a centimetre at the longest? maybe.) but none becoming visible/terminal hairs. I also noticed my scalp was no longer visible through my hair (crown still has issues) and when running my hands through it there is little prickly hairs covering it which I assume is regrowth/the same hair I’m seeing on my hairline? But also there does seem to be about an inch maybe of denser hair now covering my scalp (if I grip hair from the root and pull up it gets noticeably less dense about an inch out) which accounts for the visibility change.

I’m just writing this post to look for reassurance that things might be on the right track? That the fact none of the hairs on my hairline haven’t turned terminal is normal at this rate? similar experiences? It’s just really hard to maintain hope for anything right now and especially this, something so visible. I am also aware/hoping that once my estrogen levels are in correct ranges (hopefully at this dose) things might pick up? Thank you
