I'm trying to get a shiny eevee in celadon city, yk how it's just in a ball and you pick it up. So I'm using save states on my flashcart and after reloading it like 10 times (each time I'm getting different natures, so it's not the same eevee) I then wait a few seconds, then make a new save to reset from. Rinse and repeat, I see a lot of people saying that it doesn't work and that you have to soft reset but I don't understand why that'd be the case? Wouldn't soft resetting like this be faster since I'm always getting new eevees and I'm skipping the title menus?

Discord notification wasn't working so I looked it up, said installing pulse audio, but now my audio doesn't work and I tried uninstalling it on cachyos hello but It won't let me. I did reinstall pipewire and at least now it'll work so long as I go to change my audio devices from output back to duplex for some reason. Is the fact that I'm using an interface (scarlet 2i2 2nd gen) mess with anything?
