Concordia University Irvine

Hey guys, I’ve been thinking about applying to this school but I’m worried I don’t have the right stats for it, the very few things I could find on here ab concordia/ applicants most people had at least plenty of healthcare experience hours. I’m worried about the letter of recommendations honestly and I’ve only accumulated about 200 volunteer hours at Kaiser. Has anyone applied with less than ideal stats and got in? I’m not really worried ab gpa or anything else. I just don’t have a lot of experience nor do I know who to contact about filling out my LORs. Should I try anyway?

Cypress college ADN program

Heyyy is anyone applying for Spring 2027? or has anyone applied to Cypress for their ADN program recently? I wasn't able to attend an info session this past semester but the school is a top choice for me for this application period. I have a volunteer shift Tuesday Sept. 1st to reach exactly 200 hours. I have an estimated 29 points out of 30 on the application process currently without including patient care hours (which account for 2 points if you meet a minimum of 200 hours). Applications open on September 1st, so I was wondering if it would make a huge difference if I wait for me to reach 200 hours or if I should just fill the application out as soon as applications open on midnight?

TEAS math portion

Hey guys, are questions like this going to be common on the teas? I have been studying math for ab a week now and need to start allocating my time to study the other sections but I'm still having trouble with geometry portions. Do I just have to suck it up and commit the formulas to memory? Spend more time studying these topics? I've already improved a lot in my math area since studying its just that geometry has always been a little difficult for me to understand. Thanks

San Diego city college ADN program

Hey guys I was only briefly looking at the website bc I’m starting to get worried that I might have to cast a wider net of the schools I’m gonna apply to for Spring 2027 so sorry if that’s info I can find on their website if I look more thoroughly. I believe general micro is a prereq for the nursing program but at my school I took medical micro, do we think this would fulfill the req? I was also wondering if anyone knew how many points the application admission is out of? I haven’t attended the info session yet. Just looking to get more info bc the school is a bit far from me but I don’t have a lot of other school options to apply to with the stuff I have taken. I don’t have any other previous degrees either and barely have 160 patient care volunteer hours nor have I taken the teas yet. On a point based system out of 100 I’m around 65 as of right now from the schools I’m planning to apply to.

Long Beach City College ADN program

Hey guys I was planning on applying the end of this month for LBCC's ADN program. I know you have to attend an info session as part of their application requirements, the next one of which is towards the end of this month. However, I briefly went over their multi-criteria application process and I know its scored roughly out of 100. I estimated my approx. score out of 100 with the exception of the teas because I also am going to take that towards the end of the month and won't know how well I've done (obviously) until then which also affects the amount of points you get awarded toward the application. As of right now I'm in the 60 points range. I was wondering if I should even bother applying (and going to the info session) seeing as though that's not a lot of points???

Math help

Hey guys I was taking a math practice test on nursehub and there were some questions that I got right but did it completely different then the way it was explained and wanted to know if anyone could take a quick look to see if the methods im using works or im just getting lucky. thankssss

  1. For question 8, I converted 1/6 to a decimal and multiplied it by 155,880 to give me 25980. I added 25,980 to 155,880 to get 181,860. i then converted 2/5 to a decimal and multiplied that by 181,860 to get 72,744. I then added 72,744 to 181,860 to get the final answer.

  2. For question 14, I added $75 & $65 to get 140 which I subtracted from 680 to get 540. I then set up a proportion and made $680/100% = $540/x% and cross-multiplied. After dividing 680 from 54,000 I got 79.41%

Need help with studying for teas

I'm taking the teas at the end of this month. I did the ati teas practice test and scored like a 65%, with my strongest area being reading at only 73%. I'm assuming I have to go over every topic and decided to break them down by each week. Is this a good idea? This week I started with math and was thinking about moving on to science next week. I watched the Nurse Cheung comprehensive video as well as Tyler DeWitt's full math practice test. I'm just unsure if those two vids are gonna get me through the math portion of the actual test or what more I can do to study. I also have the teas pocket prep app that I go over when I have trouble sleeping. I'm not really sure though how else to study. Any tips or suggestions?
