I’m setting up a NAS for a small dental office and would appreciate some advice.
My main goals are:
Full backup of a Windows Server
Dentrix backup/data backup
File backup and storage
Private cloud/remote file access
Automatic scheduled backups
RAID 1/SHR with 2 × 8TB drives
I’m currently considering the Synology DS225+ and DS725+.
Would the DS225+ be enough for this setup, or is it worth spending more for the DS725+ for better performance, ECC RAM, and future expansion?
I’m also considering WD Red Plus 8TB vs Synology 8TB drives. Which drives would you recommend for reliability and compatibility?
This will be used in a business environment, so reliability and easy recovery are more important to me than maximum performance.

Has anyone installed the Interior Ambient Footwell Lighting Kit on a Chevrolet Equinox EV by themselves?
I’m thinking about installing it myself and would like to know how difficult the installation is, especially the wiring and where each part should be mounted.
If anyone has done it, I’d really appreciate any tips, photos, or installation videos.

I’m wondering if the Equinox EV will get the new Surround Vision Recorder feature in a future software update.

Has anyone else had issues with Google Maps going offline on their 2025 Equinox EV?

My maps keep going offline every 1–2 days. I already took the car to the dealer twice and they said everything looks fine and told me to contact OnStar. I also did a full factory reset, but the issue still comes back.

Another issue is that I can’t check for updates anymore. It keeps saying “Vehicle is unable to connect,” even when connected to a hotspot/Wi-Fi. My last update was in February, and my OnStar/data plan expired in March.

From what I understand, the vehicle should still be able to receive software updates even without an active subscription. Is that correct?

I’ve tried:
- Factory reset
- Wi-Fi hotspot
- Different networks
- Dealer visits (twice)

Still the maps randomly go offline and updates won’t download.

Any recommendations or anyone with the same problem?
