Is it a problem to take pre med reqs at cc while in 4 year?

Hi guys! Basically the title, I am majoring in Public health and in my 4 year , the pre med reqs are not required for the major. I am trying to fit some of the reqs in like chem 1, bio 1 etc but it is going to be hard to fit in biochem and physics with the labs. So my question is: will adcoms look down on my application since I am hoping to take some of my reqs at a cc instead of my 4 year?

My advisor has stated that it might be hard to register for some of the reqs due to the classes being prioritized for other students with majors like bio or chem.

I do not wanted to major in something in STEM since I don't want to take the extra classes that are not needed for med school. Let me know your thoughts.

can I take pre med reqs at a cc during summer while doing 4+1 MPH

Hi guys! Pretty much the title. I wanted to ask to be able to do 4+1 MPH here at temple where I get my Bachelors in Public health since I enjoy the topic and take some grad courses to earn a masters 1 year after graduating. Never been interested in getting a STEM degree

But I am still interested in pre med just super expensive right now so I am considering doing pre reqs at a cc to do both. I am aware that there is a stigma attached to taking pre reqs at a cc while being in undergrad but there is no way for me to do them both without going over or paying extra.

Let me know what you guys think or if you had done something similar.

Additional context: My public health major doesnt account for all the science classes you need for med school and I was in a major that had them but wasn't very happy doing it.

Need some HUGE advice: Do a 4+1 MPH program or do pre med reqs first?

Hi guys, as the title states, I need some huge insight into my options... Ever since I could remember I wanted to be a doctor but once I started college I started to get scared due to the new laws on loan caps, how long the road is to become a doctor, and not being the best at math but like science. I did well my first semester (granted I only took anatomy 1 as my first pre req which I got an A in.)

So I switched my major to public health to take a little break to see if it would be something I would miss if I didn't go for the path. I also applied for a accelerated MPH program in health policy as a back-up during second semester of my first year and I got accepted this morning.

Now I am feeling a little doubtful since I did start missing doing all the related to medicine and shadowed and realized I might regret not going down the path to become a doctor. But should I drop the chance to do the accelerated program? I guess I am a little scared if I will make the wrong choice so I have some questions below:

  1. Should I do the pre med preqs *BEFORE* doing any MPH degree, and why?

2.Since I only did 1 science class, I had to fix up my 4 year plan, where I would have to take a gap year and finish physics 1 and 2 at a CC... will I be less competitive because of that?

I do have a 4.0 and will be starting my second year in August and the deadline to accept the MPH program is around the end of June so I really wanna see what other people have to say about my situation so that I can explain it to my parents clearly.

Thanks! (please up vote this so that I can get a lot of advice. Wanted to repost.)
