How do I get these axle nuts off rear tire?

How do I get these axle nuts off rear tire?

This will probably sound really dumb but I need to change my rear tires on my electric scooter (phantomgogo r1) and for the life of me, I cannot get these back axle nuts off. I am going to assume I need a socket wrench set rather than the traditional wrenches I am using. The axle nuts needed a 19mm. But I honestly don’t know how to choose a socket wrench set (if anyone has any recommendations, that’s great) and Im a broke student.

Not sure if there is anything else I need in addition. I have seen breaker bars be mentioned while trying to figure things out?

Also, I do have scratches on the scooter from the times I have fallen that have rusted slightly after the fall stripped the paint off and was wondering how to fix that?

Should I take a comp sci class?

It’s my first year at community college and I am currently in a transfer engineering major kinda thing (essentially preps you for your uni transfer). I want to go into mechatronics…given, my life had kinda gone into shambles and I didn’t really study so I placed into pre-cal (meaning Ill have to make up for PHY probably). But I was wondering if I should take an intro to comp sci class? Because you need it to get into programming classes?

I do know this is a question for your advisor…but my school’s system kinda works in a wacky way where I wont get a designated advisor that will serve as my career coach until the 2-3rd week of class.

Pathing of a mechatronic?

Honestly, I am late to this party – I’m entering community college and originally was going into it pursuing Mechanical, but found myself drawn to mechatronics. However…I have a long way to go since I have never done most of this. I have signed up for classes for MechE but was wondering what classes or pre-reqs I should take for Mechatronics? I was wondering if anyone else has a specific pathing for courses? I know there are a lot of other things to learn on your own regarding programming and projects. I am just a bit lost on where to even start?

I do know that I should talk to an advisor, and I do plan to, just somehow a little lengthy to actually do it? I dunno, new to this school’s system. Just wanted any general ideas, advice, recommendations, etc.

Experience as a woman in engineering?

I was thinking about going into mech engineering (doing a transfer major at community college) but I have been told that the overall experience for studying/working in engineering as a woman isn’t so great? Problems of being undermined and harassed. Is there anyone who has their experience in the field to share? Is it as true as they say? Is it better to opt for a different engineering or stem major? Im at a bit of a loss since thats what I have settled on and thought about so I don’t really know anything else.

How to change a PhantomGoGo R1 Commuter front tire?

For reference I have a PhantomGoGo R1 Commuter – which did come with a spare tire. Ate dust halfway through my ride and took a bad fall – not sure what happened since it was fine just a moment before. Is changing a front tire any different from changing a back tire? I only find back tire ones. I also have no clue how to even change one to begin with or what I need.

Idea for storing seated electric scooter outside?

I live in a townhouse situation, and after a while, the landlords told me the electric scooter cannot be inside in any capacity because an electric scooter caught fire in an apartment. The garage isn’t available as it is rented out.

I did ask of it could be charged outside then brought inside while not charging but they said…

"The safety risks with lithium-ion batteries extend to when they’re unplugged and just sitting in storage, not only while charging, so keeping the scooter inside the unit isn’t an option in any form. There was a fire 17th where e-scooter batteries caused a fire… that’s not an isolated case this year."

It sounds unreasonable, considering anything with a battery has the possibility of exploding: phones, game consoles, etc; anything with a lithium battery. But they don’t seem to be hearing any other answers or negotiations. Not sure what I will do when winter roles around since they said it cant be inside for that either.

Bike recommendations

I’m new to the area and commuting by bike in general, but Im an upcoming college student who is also working. My biggest concern is the winter; I can’t get a car right now so I am wondering how biking during the winter here is?

Also what kind of bike to look for and any recommendations? I would be biking from newton are to Cambridge area (6mi) and was wondering if the bike itself matters less than the tires or what?

I see some say single speed, some say hybrid, some say commuter, and others say MTB. And as someone very new to bikes - it’s all a little lost on me and how they would perform in slushy winters or not so greatly maintained paths.

Bike path?

I recently moved to Newton and have to go between charlesbank to western ave and was wondering if (as I didn’t see one when I took the bus) if there is a useable bike path from here to there…so I don’t have to spend $14 everyday. Given, I am using a seated electric scooter. Would it be the “Dr. Paul White Dudley Path?” I guess I would just have to test it out. I’m not really sure how easy it is on the intersection on western ave, but I guess I’ll just have to see?
