Hey everyone!

Wanted to let you know that we’ve cleaned up the subreddit rules to make them clearer and more consistent. Most of the changes are just wording, but we’ve also added Rule 3: No low-quality or repetitive posts. See sidebar or this link for a full list of the rules.

The goal is to cut down on posts that clutter the feed without adding much to the discussion. That includes things like excessive alignment charts, polls, Spotify Wrapped posts, “circlejerk”/inside-joke posts, and other low-effort or engagement-bait content.

This isn't meant to make the sub overly serious or require a dissertation every time you post. We’ll continue to use some common sense and discretion.

We're happy to hear feedback you have on this or on the sub in general. Anything else you'd like to see changed, added, or handled differently? Feel free to leave a comment. Thank you!

Anyone have a good rundown of the candidates? There’s been a lot of stability over the years on the council, will be interested to see if there’s a shakeup

First off, thanks to everyone who applied. We had a lot of great applications, and we really appreciate everyone who was willing to volunteer their time to help out around the sub.

After going through everything, we've added three new moderators to the team:

Our biggest priority was finding people who are active around the subreddit and can help keep up with the mod queue and modmail. We're excited to have some extra hands on deck and think these three will be a great addition to the team.
