23 years under a cover.
In 2010, I found this 1953 Bentley R-Type in a barn while buying a pinball machine. It sat there for 23 years before I was able to buy it in 2013.
It was originally ordered by a Baronets in Britain. A US serviceman brought it back to the US in the late 80’s and parked it in the barn. He never returned for it.
After ordering a key, mystery oil in the cylinders, a gas tank flush and a battery, it fired right up.
I drove it for four years before losing it in a divorce. This was by far the most fun car I have ever owned.
