I will say before I start, I’m like 90% sure the vague generic blurb is the main reason this series has had such a slow start with readers hell I bet some you had no flipping idea this was even a thriller in the first place.

To put it simply this Webtoon is a long winded critique of everything wrong with the Korean education system and parenting in that country. Every single problem the characters face in this series comes back to those two core themes you would think it’ll get boring after awhile but it doesn’t. Now like I said before this is a thriller the MC in particular is constantly one step away from complete collapse her stress is your stress like seriously at one point this story had me on the edge of my seat heart pounding while she took a flipping math test. Most of the conflict in the first half is dominated by school life issues while the second half is a lot more focused on the MC’s external relationships. As I’ve been eluding to the MC is excellent she’s extremely smart and sharp but has believable negative traits to keep the conflicts tense though sometimes you may think she’s making a bad choice only for her to be proven right way later.

The side cast are all solidly written characters I love that no one is completely evil or good they all have their own problems to explain why they’re like this well mostly though I’ll get to that later. Art is lovely, pacing is solid, there is some Yuri for those wondering (It is definitely meant to be interpreted as GL but no spoilers 🤫) and the season ending twist is built up to really well though I will say I am hoping the villain is not gonna be as evil as they’re initially presented since it kinda breaks the whole ‘Nobody’s completely evil or good’ trend this story had going. I know finding good thrillers is kind of a rarity on Webtoon so if you like them or anything here sounded interesting to you seriously give this story a read I binge read the entire 1st season in 1 day it really was that good.

Well I can confirm it’s really flipping good if you like drama, thrillers an unstable protagonist this one is right up your alley

Overall this Webtoon is nothing crazy unique but it definitely has the most disgusting main villain I have ever seen in a high society romance. The way they depict him as this massive monster of a man with these unnatural expressions is genuinely horrifying.

I can count on one hand the number of quality GL stories I’ve seen on Webtoon and I don’t need many fingers to do it.

The sci fi genre on Webtoon has long been dying out but now it is basically dead and buried.

I like this story a lot the central gender swapping twist is continuously important to the plot, little fan service, a touch of romance (Bit of a love triangle has developed but it’s not focused on a ton) and the idol training plotline is done well certainly a unique spin to have somebody with no experience as a woman go through the system this time.

Definitely the best gender swap Webtoon I’ve read yet pretty crazy how popular the story has become on Naver.

Premise is VERY interesting the writing though 😑

It’s a bit sus main I noticed is the blazing speed things are unfolding at for example in the first episode the FL just suddenly gets a child. Like good for her but uh where did this child come from? It practically popped out of thin air no mention of the dad no mention her being pregnant she just has a kid now I am assuming this will be explained later author 🤨.

I started this tree from a seed about 8 years ago for a long time I thought it was a red maple but I’m less sure now since it seems to be growing much faster than I thought red Maples did.
