Uruk Hai Scouts

Uruk-hai Scouts’ plastic version surprisingly held up pretty well. I’ve found that the plastic kits released around 2006/07 have really aged badly cough, cough, Morannon Orcs and Gondor Rangers. 😅

P.S. Excuse the scuffed up base rims these are part of a diorama, and needed to been sanded to fit in the holes. 😀

The classic scatter scenery from the original The Return Of The King boxset.

Scatter scenery that originally came with the Return of the King box that was released in 2003. So much nostalgia 😍

Minas Tirith Commanders

Minas Tirith Commanders

Sadly, I didn't receive the best sculpts. There was a lot of metal flashing and a few miscast details, especially the captain's stars on his armour, which aren't formed correctly on one side. They are 100% official, ordered directly from the GW website before anyone comments. 😅

For some reason, I always seem to have rotten luck with Minas Tirith. My captain from the Made to Order release last year didn't even have half of his face formed inside the helmet. It's a shame because they're lovely miniatures.

I didn't notice the problems until after priming and applying the first base colour. So couldn't get replacement A personal tip remember to thoroughly check your miniatures before priming. Lesson learned for next time! 😅

Classic Gothmog

Classic Gothmog. The new plastic one is fantastic, but I've always had a soft spot for this original, mainly because it was my favourite miniature I painted as a teenager when it was first released. I wish I still had my original, but I sadly sold my original collection in my early twenties. I had a lovely time painting this one this evening it brought back so much nostalgia.
