Has anyone introduced formula at this stage? For reference she’s EBF right now. I am going back to work in 2 months and I want her to have formula during the day at daycare and I can breastfeed her in the mornings. Is it too late? We’re already working on just her taking a bottle, which she’s not great at.
Is this a myth? I have a 12 weeks old and I recently went back to EBF when my LO got out of her Pavlik harness (she had hip dysplasia). I want to EBF, but she needs to take a bottle well since she’ll be going to daycare and for days I’m not with her all day. We use pigeon bottles for reference if that matters and we’ve been using those since she was like 4 weeks old. She has recently been getting fussy with the S nipple size, but when I offered my breast she immediately took it. So, I sized up to M, which is for 3+ months. I feel anxious and like I am at a turning point or something and want to make sure I don’t mess anything up. I am scared she’ll end up preferring one over the other.
P.S. She hates the Dr. Browns bottles.
First time mom here! I need advice! I just had my LO 2 weeks ago and I made the decision to switch to combo feeding (exclusively pumping and formula) for my sanity and to help her gain weight. I do not want to go to all formula. I want to give her as much as my milk as I can first. I just happen to be an under supplier. Yes, I am do all the things to trick my body into making more!
What I really need help with is how to pump on the go! She’s only two weeks, so we’ve been just in the comfort of our home with the fridge, bottle washer and warmer!
So, what I want to know - I have the blue spectra!
What do I do when I leave the house?
Do I bring my pump with me and do it in public?
How do I store my breast milk for that long?
Should I buy a pump bag with a cooler?
Do I need a portable bottle warmer?
Are getting wearables worth it? I only have the spectra bulky flanges
Do I prep a bottle before leaving?
Any formula supplement moms know if I should bring formula with me just in case?
Any advice is super helpful!
