Which scene was better and why?

After dragging myself through today's episode. (I can't find myself wanting to care much for Lucy) One of the highlights was Sally talking about Carla and Lisa.

Do you reckon what she said is foreshadowing some conflict for them when they appear again or just a swarla name drop and some random script to fill the screen time?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but does anyone else feel like Ed Bailey is in the wrong soap?

I'm not sure if it's his accent, or maybe just his general vibe but whenever I watch him on screen it feels like he's accidentally wandered in from the set of Eastenders.

Not sure if this is gonna be an unpopular opinion but anyone else finding Asha and Sienna so totally utterly boring, pointless, zero chemistry.

There is a topic in the Corrie sub about them and I feel like I should advocate for another young wlw couple being visible on the street (which I welcome) but in comparison to Swarla chemistry/slow burn/get together they just don't even get off the starting blocks

I can't help but feel the writers are having a laugh at the audience expense now!

First off Carla and Lisa discussing the obvious conflict of interest. We all know it's totally unrealistic and absurd that Lisa is investigating her colleagues girlfriend/ wife's employee/friend and neighbour who attended her own wedding that night. But now even the writers are making this absurdity into part of the storyline!

Complete Nazir family story recon in one boxed off scene to try and make Idris more relevant, Plus didn't Leanne sleep with both Connor brothers? The baldwin affair? Or have the writers not googled that before checking the script.

The Platts I love.... but, one min frantically looking for a dangerous weapon in the house then next cuddles with Jodie on the sofa! WTF!!! Anyone else got next day delivery access to exact toy replica guns? Are they not banned for obvious reasons? This story is turning into dead Becky 2.0 for it's utter stupidity

Nick attacked Lisa in the rovers for choosing her career yet he is drinking with Adam, who defended a nonce in the very same pub of family who were victims of that nonce. He then served some papers to Idris who is his girlfriend's and legal partners retconned uncle.

Ross, talk about easiest job application interview and recruitment of the week!, in fact so easy the advert was still in the paper and the closing date hadn't even come around and he had a job offer!!!

I still watch but what an absolute stretch of the imagination today's episode really was!!!

I knew they were gonna bring Becky Swain back from the dead and im just going to call this now....

I might be wrong but the new Betsy storyline is going to be about her looking for her donor isn't it?

She will meet them and decide to stay close to home and not go to uni in London after all so she can get to know them better

New street character incoming and angst for Swarla 🫤

Is it just me or does the Jodie story feel like a complete rinse and repeat of the 'not dead Becky' story from end of last year?

It's like they couldn't be bothered to think outside the box and have taken the blueprint of that story and just tweaked and repeated most of it, moving it from number 6 to no 8 instead.

- she appears from nowhere, worms her way in, manipulates everyone mainly Shona with a load of retconned history

- tries to break up Shona and David's relationship.

-creates fake threats from gangsters (not known to us) to justify staying in their home despite David having doubts and knowing she is toxic.

-Everyone seems concerned with the threat to lilly but keep the source of threat living with them anyway!

- They lie to the police and Kit loses any detective ability despite how close to home it is.

-Jodies continues for weeks to cause merry hell as what appears to be another unhinged narcissist character.

The similarities seem uncanny.

Maybe Shona will think David has left her and he'll be found tied up in a shipping container in a few weeks by Kit.
