I was lucky enough to spend an evening (and morning…and afternoon lol) in Berghain this past weekend. Words can’t do the experience justice, but simply put, the building, the people and the vibe changed my fucking life. Thank you to u/sexydiscoballs for your amazing substack series. It helped shape our expectations and provided a wonderful primer for a trio of first time attendees.
After our marathon session, I couldn’t rally the group for a Sunday afternoon at Sisyphos…however, we’re getting ready to decompress on an Adriatic Viking cruise with the in laws for their 50th anniversary and then on to Paris.
Since we still have some fuel in the tank, I’d love to experience a night out in Paris. I know they aren’t particularly well known for their magical dance floors, but I was wondering if anyone had recommendations or suggestions. We will be there Tuesday-Sunday (8/11-17). Thanks in advance. And please, do everything you can to make the pilgrimage to Berlin and into the hallowed halls of Berghain. It’s the Mecca.
With all the hoopla regarding 2027 headliner suggestion and speculation, I’m hoping someone with real knowledge could offer some insight.
How early do they have headliners booked? Did they have one (or more) 2027 headliners signed and sealed before 2026 even finished?
How many acts get asked to headline? How many acts get booked with the caveat that they may be moved up to headliner (or down from headliner) depending on how the rest of the scheduling shakes out?
It seems like there are a million plates spinning with a ton of egos involved. The fact that they pull it off as well as they do every year is incredible.
