Iron Man Bass V Partscaster

Bought an extremely used Fender American Standard 5 string bass that experienced an electrical fire inside the pickguard as well as some other issues. Damage to the paint and body were minimal but all the electronics and pickups were shot. My son and I saw the color and decided it needed a superhero makeover. Neck had to be straightened, Jazz Pickup had to be routed out, and all of the hardware replaced.

  • Hipshot Tuners and Bridge

Sadowsky

  • PJ Pickups
  • DiMarzio Pots
  • Schaller Strap Locks
  • LaBella Flatwound Strings
  • And an ArcReactor coaster from Etsy.

Sounds and looks amazing.

My 2nd Playthrough: Here are some things that can be done in the Early Game

By the time I completed my first playthrough of Crimson Desert I was pretty frustrated with how many weapons, elemental abilities and Kuku pot items that weren’t obtainable until very late in the game.  As I started my 2^(nd) playthrough on hard difficulty I was determined to systematically explore all areas of the map to see what could be accomplished early on, outside of the main story missions.  I believe I will be using this as my master save file on future playthroughs so that I can avoid as many fetch quests and Yann missions as possible.

I just completed Chapter 4 on 2^(nd) playthrough and below is a summary of my stats and what I was able to complete.

  • Stamina – 10
  • Spirit – 12 (Max)
  • Health – 18 (Max)
  • All Elemental Abilities have been acquired.
  • Kliff Skills – All skills acquired except Falling Palm.
  • Damiane – All skills acquired except Quick Reload and Skystep.
  • I have spent 300 Abyss Artifacts and currently have 188 unused.
  • All 3 Legendary Horses are registered and at level 5.
  • All 141 Sealed Abyss Artifacts obtained, 96 completed.
  • All Abyss Cressets Completed.
  • 36 out of 40 Abyss Island Puzzles Completed. There are 4 Abyss Islands that require story progression to complete (Crow’s Nest, Nest of Valor, Crescent Skybridge, and Dimensional Bonds).
  • 7 out of 8 Bells have been rung. (Pauline is locked behind a main story mission so I didn’t bother with it).
  • Greymane Camp has completed 3 upgrades and has 37 Greymanes unlocked. All Camp Resources are over 1 million.
  • All Church Donations in Hernand, Demeniss, and Deleysia are at max level.
  • All Pororin and Scholastone Research tasks have been completed.
  • 90% of the Abyss Nexus fast travel points have been unlocked.
  • 68 out of 95 Abyss Gear Recipes have been acquired (have not unlocked the Witches yet to buy theirs, and the Kingshield Dig Site is locked behind the main story missions).
  • All required items for Kuku pot recipes have been acquired except Lightning Bolt Plate Armor, Golden Star’s Component, and Shoddy Rishi’s boots. (I don’t even have the recipes as I cannot begin the Sanctums yet in the story).
  • I have acquired the FrostCursed, Scorchflame, Belkandor, and Light of the Battlefield Armor sets and have all of the pieces that can be upgraded refined to max level.
  • I have acquired all of my favorite weapons for all 3 characters and have them refined to max level.
  • The majority of the Faction Quests in Delesyia and Crimson Desert can be completed without any main story progression. My Contribution Points in Delesyia are currently at 91, and Tommaso is at 100.

Here are my takeaways from this little experiment:

  • Overall the 2^(nd) playthrough has been much more enjoyable then the first and I’m only a third of the way through the story.  Running around the map on hard difficulty trying to get all of the Sealed Abyss artifacts in Chapter 2 was a real challenge.
  • Explore as much of the map as you can as early as you can. Not only will you get the majority of the Sealed Abyss Artifacts and Abyss Nexus fast travel points, but you will find great resource locations, and also unlock friendly locations that will provide massive dispatch mission rewards as soon as your camp is up and running. You may have to run away from some fights in Demeniss and Pailune but the benefits outweigh the risk.
  • Though the main story prevents you from completing some of the Spires until you get to later chapters, there is nothing preventing you from flying to other locked Abyss Islands. Using Pine Mushroom Tea and the Aerial Stab skill I was able to fly to and complete 36 out of the 40 Abyss Islands and obtain all elements in Chapter 2.
  • You can avoid the sleep darts when you try to enter the Pororin Village by dropping down from the Abyss to the Where Sky Meets Earth Abyss Cresset.  From there you can look around until you see the walking tree and drop down on his head to retrieve the Pororin Artifact.  I was able to do that as soon as Chapter 2 started and it immediately unlocked the Pororin village where I was able to observe the Double Jump skill.  Research at Pororin unlocks in Chapter 3.
  • I grabbed the gold bar at Lioncrest Manor and then went to the Tommaso Duo game.  In around 3 hours I was able to make over 20k silver just accusing cheaters.  That allowed me to max out the Hernand Church Contribution and get the Demeniss church contribution to around 50% as soon as I got my camp in Chapter 3. By the end of Chapter 4 all church contributions have been maxed out in all three regions and all of my camp resources are over a million.
  • Complete all of the Greymane Camp Missions as soon as they are available to you.  Once you have all 37 Greymanes you can easily put them on repeat dispatches as you go off and do Hernand faction missions. This can earn you a lot of camp resources early on until you get to the Hot Air Baloon mission time skip.
  • Complete as many Sealed Abyss Challenges as you can before you complete Chapter 4 (Damiane gets locked out).  I was able to complete all of Kliff’s weapon challenges and all but one of Damiane’s weapon challenges before then. Working on them in the early game will save you a lot of stress trying to find enough enemies to complete them in the late game.
  • A number of Youtubers had stated that you can complete Dewhaven research as early as Chapter 4 if you complete all of the faction missions in the area.  I completed the majority of the faction quests in Delesyia (a few are locked by the later main story missions) as well as the bandit and pirate camps and can report that I have not unlocked the Dewhaven research.  I tried the same approach with the Crimson Desert region with the same results.
  • Farm for your upgrade materials every 7 days. There is a wonderful spot in a lake right above Beardtree Gorge that gives you most of them except Bloodstone and Bismuth Ore. If you make it routine you should have plenty of materials to upgrade your weapons and armor as you obtain them.

Good Camp Resource Dispatch Missions Early Game (Locations must be discovered):

Food:

  • Elderglen Plantation (Delesyia)
  • Calphade Farmhouse (Hernand)

Logging:

  • Beighen (on the Border between Hernand and Pauline)
  • Calphade Logging Camp (Hernand)

Stone:

  • Burnhand Quarry (Demeniss)

Funds:

  • Tinkerton Dig Site (Delesyia)
  • Thornbriar Food Storage (Demeniss)

I hope that helps any of my fellow Greymanes. I'm happy to answer any questions if you have them.
