My favorite deck

This beautiful deck was just a couple blocks away from my rental when I was living in Vancouver. I always marveled at it.

Cougar Sighting (Meadowdale/Perrinville)

My neighbor down the street saw a cougar on their security cameras last night. We're located a couple blocks south of Meadowdale Beach Road.

Last summer our coyotes were super active every night, but I haven't heard them at all recently. I'm guessing this feline guest is why.

I turned 1500sqft of my lawn into a natural area and just added a bench/path with a rainbow! Happy Pride!

This is absolutely an ongoing project.

Last year I spent all summer cutting up and burying sod. Now I have a bunch of plants I am trying to get started as well as transplants and cuttings (ferns, bleeding heart, etc.).

My most recent addition is this bench and path! The path is made with rocks I dug up during the project (and some from older projects). We have glacial till here, so there's quite a variety.

Of course, I decided to make things difficult for myself and hunted until I found a good set of rocks to make a rainbow for the bench area. I'm so happy with how it turned out, though!

Why aren't espresso tonics more popular in the US?

There is nothing I enjoy more on a hot morning than a cold, refreshing espresso tonic.

It feels like a really simple, easy to stock recipe. You just need ice and tonic water!

Whenever I travel to Japan, every cafe has them available, especially during the summer. But here in the US, I have only found a few cafes that can even make them, and most are extremely confused when I ask if they have tonic water.

Do they just not suit the American palate?

I realize this is my sign to finally refurbish the Gaggia I bought so I can just make my own at home. I just wish I could enjoy espresso tonics when I'm out and about, too.

Wood elf adventurer improvements?

Bought these new pants a few weeks ago and wore this outfit today for the Whidbey Ren Faire. They were super comfortable overall!

Would love to implement some visual and quality of life improvements, but not sure of the best approaches. So I'm turning to you creative folks!

Should I add a strip of cloth to cover my top peeking through my corset?

Are there any practical adventurer accessories I could add? I have a potion bottle with leather strap and a short sword, but both can be inconvenient, especially as my three leather pouches are all needed for personal items.

Should I change My cloak? My cloak is pretty cheap, so I could definitely upgrade it to a linen cloak (wool would be too hot). Could also use a different type of cover.

Any way to upgrade my corset-less version of my outfit? I generally can't stand wearing a corset for much more than 6 hours, but I'll have a camping area to go back to for outfit changes.

And, finally: Is there any good approach to using the restroom with so many overlapping layers at the waist? Skirts are so much more convenient in that regard.
