My appreciate Druid

Cobbled together this outfit for a renfaire earlier this year. Wanted to show off the look and get suggestions for a “leveled up” version

First Renfaire

Hello,

I'm going to my first renfaire in a couple months. I've always loved the Tudor Era and wanted to dress like it. I bought what I could without it getting costly. I plan on getting the dress hemmed and dry-cleaned. I've bought a new French hood and it won't after for another couple of weeks. How does it look?

So Apparently I’m an International Arms Dealer

I have recently come to the realization that owning The Sanctuary technically makes me an international arms dealer.

We sell swords, axes, armor, shields, helmets, and assorted implements of medieval violence.

And we have customers from outside the United States.

Therefore:

Arms: Yes.
Dealer: Yes.
International: Yes.

I see absolutely no reason why additional context should be necessary.

Last time I was this excited was when I saw the Fortress Dwellers at KHRF...I get to dress up again! "Enchanted Exchange" in my town and whimsy is welcome!

So many stories to tell.

Perhaps I’m a bard at heart, trapped inside the armor of a Paladin.

Either way, there are few things I enjoy more than telling tales that earn a laugh, raise a glass, or leave someone with a story worth remembering.

I’ll be wandering the Texas Renaissance Festival again this year. I usually travel solo and roam the grounds on my own—following whatever music, mischief, or adventure catches my attention.

I tend not to impose myself on other people’s revelry, but meeting new people is genuinely one of the highlights of Faire for me. So if you happen across a lone Paladin wandering the lanes, don’t mistake solitude for wanting to be left alone.

Say hello. Share a story. Point me toward something I shouldn’t miss.

Perhaps we’ll leave the Faire with another tale worth telling.

King Arthur and Patsy at the WA Midsummer Ren Faire

Had an absolutely wondrous time at the ren Faire this weekend as King Arthur and Patsy!!! We met many horses and knights to join the round table, defeated some rabbits, ate frozen coconuts, rallied up the crowd of the joust for England, and even partook in a hobby horse race 🐎

Would these shoes work for a pirate costume?

(Female pirate costume) I don’t have boots to wear, but I have these. I’m not dismissing the boot idea quite yet, but I don’t wear boots ever so I’d be spending more money than I want to buy quality boots from the get go, I don’t want to get anything cheap or tacky.

These are "kierpce,” a Polish folk leather shoe. Would they really look that out of place on a pirate costume?

ISO THIS shirt

Hi all! This is a super weird/random request here but I believe in the power of people! My brother found this shirt/jacket at the thrift a couple years ago and wears it basically everyday. He wants a new one as his is starting to show more wear that we can’t really keep up with (holes, discoloration, starting to become see through) I have searched the google for weeks trying to find one and there is one one website I can find selling it but there are no reviews so I’m not to trusting on this site.
If anyone at all happens to have this from previous years costumes or will be done with it after this year please let me know! I’ll obviously be HAPPY to pay for it as well as any shipping fees.
TIA! :)

Tried out my armor after a bit of weight gain and I think it turned out alright. But, I also wanted to get y'all's opinion of the look and athstetic and possible ways to make it look better.

I'm going for a fantasy fighter look. I have a helmet but it's hot out so I decided not to put it on.

Garb advice

Hello friends, need help with this outfit. I got this blue dress from the thrift and would love to wear it to my next faire. I have this blush/cream petal skirt I thought would look good with it, I’ve put it together and idk how I feel but I would love for this to work. I know I need to add other pieces and accessories, what can I add to make it come together? Open to all ideas and diys
Pls ignore the background :}

Edit: I don’t even know who I want to be. Fairy, Princess, Washwoman as suggested.
I have about 1.5 months to figure it out, can definitely do some thrifting once I decide my character.
