My Pirate Fit
Thrifted gifted and bought untill i had it all together any suggestions on more gaudy ideas?(last pic cause why not)
I was inspired by the fashion of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and put together a new outfit!
Normally I wear a full kit of \~16th century armor inspired by Elden Ring. Since playing KCD2 I've been very much inspired by the fashion of 15th century Bohemia. I have always needed a decent fit for when I'm not wearing my armor. I bought myself a Chaperon hat/Liripipe hood and got it embroidered and it's one of my favorite pieces of garb! What do you all think?
(I know neither of my outfits are historically accurate. I don't care. I feel fancy in me new lightweight outfit!)
Also, I'm ChamrsDeluxe on all things if anyone is interested in medieval/fantasy/renfaire stuff.
I went as “Weird Al” Monk-ovic to a Renaissance Fair
Safe to say I’m “spending every weekend at the renaissance fair”
How much would you spend on a fantasy live portrait drawing at a faire?
Hi all! I’m a live portrait artist that primarily draws at smaller Renaissance festivals but this coming weekend I’ll be vending at my first big event at the Tennessee Renaissance Festival!
I came here because I know times are rough these days with gas prices/economy but also want to balance that with being able to at least break even on vending costs/travel. Do my current prices reflect the best interest of both and what would be the maximum you would pay for a drawing? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Here are my current offerings:

Until we meet again, Irwindale Ren Faire
We had such a great time closing out the Irwindale Ren Faire. We had a huge group of friends and family join us, most of whom had never been before and now are as hooked as we are. We also had the opportunity to dress up this year which just makes the whole experience so much fun. Can’t wait to do it all again next year!
Traveler/Wanderer/Ranger
New style for 2026. Would like to work this as a Fantasy Ranger outfit. Obvious inspirations were Aragorn/Faramir. I'm working on my own bracers/should have those finished in time. And boots are currently being repaired, so please excuse the cozy house slippers. Is the shemagh too out of place?
Just being a little whimsical this past weekend!
Roll the old chariot along
Despite all my hard costume work and putting Trinkets together, it ended up far too hot and humid for me. There's always next year, I hope yall enjoy this piece I put together featuring my spider cat creature I was supposed to be wearing to faire
What if I told you my outfit was inspired by the watermelon shaped Trix😝🍉
Bro and I Goodwill haul of RenGarb
Here's somethin for ya guys. These outfits my bro and I put together, were literally last moment, the nite before our RenFest. Every clothing piece was bought from Goodwill.
Our accessories have been collected over many years of RenFaires.
Both of us were incredibly surprised the outfits came together so well.
Everyone at the Faire who complimented us would not believe we managed to do so.
My bro is a Goodwill shopping god!
Sadly this is the only pic we thought to get of us, it was 4:30pm by then. We had been there since 8am! Lords, were we exhausted!!!
Mushroom Crew
Since the faires in my area are coming up again soon i finally remembered to post last years pictures lol
all three mushroom hats were hand made by me and based on real mushrooms - amanita muscaria, rhodotus palmatus, and coprinus comatus.
My current goal is to have a second one made for each of us before July so we can change it up throughout the weekend
If you happen to see us at any of the Alberta faires this summer feel free to come say hi! im hoping to have a decent stash of trinkets to distribute 😊
My latest design: a pair of Maximilian-style vambraces using a new material and finishing technique!
With two jobs, a baby on the way, and ongoing home renovations and I don't have time to meticulously sand my costume armor pieces anymore.
In order to save precious time (*cough*, cut corners...) I printed my latest design, these vambraces, out of ASA, a material similar to ABS. I then used a small amount of acetone to vapor-smooth the pieces into a high quality, high durability gloss black finish. The whole thing was fast and effortless! It was then a one-step process to make them look metallic, with a single layer of Alclad II paint and a clear coat.
I'm stoked! While the elbow geometry is not *perfect* the way I'd want it, the overall piece is a highly functional part very close to the historical references I used, and the manufacturing time of this cosplay piece was a fraction of the usual time I take to finish my armor pieces. I plan to make a tutorial on Youtube for those who may want to do the same.
I hope you like my work, and thank you for the support you've shown me - I am ever so grateful.
Cheers!
In my last post i said, i rarely take my orc out to renfairs, but if i do, that's my outfit.
The armor alone is 77 lbs so it's mostly just a short fun but with my size of 6'7 i get stopped a lot for pictures.
Girl Orc
Originally wanted to do this look on Mother's day at the southern pleasure faire but I woke up with a scratched cornea that morning so I had to save it for the last day. 🐗🪓
Makeup was liquid mehron products and cheap cream paint a friend gave to me. The cream paint worked out great
Last week of the Nebraska Ren Faire
Made all outfit pieces for the occasion.
Beast Master/Hunter outfit about 85% complete
Just missing a few armor pieces coming in the mail and the boots! Let me know what y'all think.
PS...these viking belts aren't for the weak! Took me almost an hour to get everything that hangs off the belt threaded through properly.
Double PS, I am not a RenFurry (no disrespect to that community!) The headress can be worn both as a mask and as a hat. It's normally worn as a hat but I conceal my face online for privacy reasons, so it's worn like a mask here.
