Quite a magical way to send off the season ❤️ (it's the last weekend)

I took Tibby to get x-rays last week (they're actually radiographs if that matters) and after talking with the vet, a researcher who studies vestigial limbs/limb loss in snakes (who also covered the cost of the x-rays, thank you Mike!), and a local herpetologist, we've come to the conclusion that there is nothing underneath the scale abnormalities. There's nothing skeletal that would indicate limbs and there aren't any hard masses or anything like that. His heart is in a slightly different place than usual and that might affect his lifespan, but it's not immediately harmful to his quality of life. He's still eating and pooping great and he's almost up to ten grams now! I will be keeping him for a while to see how he sheds and grows and might do another x-ray in the future when he's bigger to get a better look at things. I will also NOT be breeding him. I don't know if this mutation is genetic or not, but I don't want to pass it on since it is a defect, however amusing it may be.

It was my fault, I got my thumb too close to her while she was eating. But dang if her fangs didn't tear me up. It bled a surprising amount for such small cuts. No envenomation though, I got her off right away (last time she bit & chewed on me my hand swelled up for a couple days so I know it didn't happen this time).

I noticed a lot of female characters had their armpits out even when it didn't make any sense (see: Jean's two outfits). So I decided to go through and catalogue whether each character had visible armpits or not, and here are my findings:

79% (52/79) of female characters have their pits out.

20% (8/41) of male characters have their pits out. (For anyone wondering, it's Xiao, Heizou, Alhaitham, Razor, Ororon, Sethos, Lyney, and Bennet.)

I only counted default skins, none of the event skins, and none of the reworked skins (though in most cases it's the same, such as with Jean and Mona still having their pits out even in the reworked skin, and Amber still having hers covered. I think the only one that actually changed pits out vs not was Rosaria. I didn't check the event skins). I counted Lumine and Aether separately, and only their default outfits as well, not the new ones.

What can we learn from this? Hoyoverse please give us more guys with their pits out

I like my outfit but it could definitely be "more." Any ideas on what to add? I'm thinking of ripping out the hood on my tunic and adding a hooded capelet. Headpieces are also hard for me to wear all day because any pressure on my head for extended periods of time gives me a headache. But I'm open to ideas! The more snake-themed, the better.

He's doing great! He's eating and pooping consistently and clearly has no issues getting around. I'm having a herpetologist take a look at him on Friday to get his opinion on the scale mutation, but no x-rays yet. Hoping to find a vet who will do them for a reduced cost cause when I had to have a different snake x-rayed it was like $300 oof.

I'm going to take him to the next herpetology society meeting to have an experienced herpetologist take a closer look at him.

I have the sons of sandlar buckle boots with the Israel soles. I've had them for at least a decade and the boys themselves are quite comfortable, but they make my feet hurt after only an hour or two of wearing them - not great for full days of Fest activities. The soles are very hard and it feels like walking on wood all day. Does anyone else have this issue with boots? And/or do you have recommendations for a good insole that will make them more comfortable to wear?
