zero point shifting (df64v)

Hi guys,
I have the DF64V for a year now and it has been working great. I use my grinder only for espressos. I typically rotate between two different types of beans each month.

I’ve been paying more attention to my consistency and i noticed my shots have actually been a bit inconsistent, because the grind size keeps drifting unpredictably. I know the physical zero point is actually shifting on its own, because when I check for the burr chirp, it is no longer at my calibrated zero.

I basically have to recalibrate the zero point every time I clean the grinder (~4-6 wks). Is it normal that the zero point shifts so regularly?

hey friends,

i’m a beginner at the v60 game, trying to understand the process/recipes and adjustments better. i have this Cafēn Yellow Honey processed Kenyan (posted about it before on here :)). I overextracted it a bit and wondering if i should change grind size or water temp??

here’s the recipe i use:

BWT filtered water 95c, v60 with abaca filters

mavo phantox pro manual grinder, size 7

15g on 250g water, 1:16

00.00 Bloom the coffee with 50ml of water + little swirl

00.40 Pour till 150ml (circular)

01.20 Pour till 250ml (circular, with last 10g center pour)

01.50 last swirl to even the coffee bed.

Drawdown time was 3:20
