128GB sparks just went up to $6,950

At MicroCenter this AM to pick one up. Pricing just increased with the announcement of the 64GB model ($5k for that, btw).

The 64GB Spark is coming on October 23rd... for $5k

Coming this month, NVIDIA DGX Spark will be available with 64GB of unified memory from top manufacturer partners — Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI — giving developers, researchers and AI enthusiasts a new configuration with DGX OS and the NVIDIA AI software stack ready to use from day one.

DGX Spark 64GB is available from Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI on Friday, Oct. 23, starting at $4,999.

No mention of an actual Nvidia-branded unit, just partner ones. But $5k, ouch.

Edit: 128GB pricing just increased to $6,950

Worth upgrading from a 2x to 4x Cluster?

I know some of you out there are running a 4x cluster. Can anyone give me insight into what it unlocked for you over a 2x? I feel like I'm pretty well served with a dual setup running 3.8 Flash Next getting 80tok/s decode, but I have a bit of Spark envy seeing the larger clusters haha

Any worthwhile model capability or performance gains from a 2>4? Or is the same money better spent on a new M5 Studio with 256GB?

Edit: I just wanted to chime in and say that after today's price hike, it was definitely "worth" upgrading lol

Stuck Between Carvera and Air

Hey folks - having some trouble deciding whether to pull the trigger on a standard Carvera or the Air.

I'm coming from the world of 3D printing and lasers, looking to do some prototyping of (mostly) metal parts, maybe some POM. Probably mostly multi-position parts as well.

I've never worked with a CNC before and know there will be a learning curve... that's why I'm looking for something as "consumerized" as possible.

From what I can tell, the standard Carvera has a larger work area, faster spindle, and ATC. But the $2.8k price difference from the Air (for the Ultimate bundle) is not insignificant lol

My question is: is it worth the extra versus the Air? What might I be missing or regret not having 6 months down the road?

I'm worried that the standard Carvera is a bit outdated versus some newer competitors like the C500 (which I considered but got tired of waiting for). Makers also appears to be prioritizing development of accessories for the Air, like the new 3D probe that supports Air/Z1 only.

Carvera vs Air

I know, I know - both overpriced and underpowered spindle.

I'm a beginner with small army of 3D printers and fiber lasers and am looking for something turnkey and "consumerized" to learn on (and am tired of waiting for the Nestworks C500). Now I'm stuck between the Ultimate package on the regular and Air for basic aluminum and polymer projects.

Is the Carvera actually worth the extra $2.8k over the Air for the ATC, slightly larger workspace, and linear rails? Anything else to justify the jump?

Did you know that leachies can carry the phantom eye gene? Repashy described this in The Life of Giant Geckos as being only found on one locale (I can't remember which and it's too late to dig out my copy lol).
