My home was in my husband's family a long time before the sprawling jungle of semi-identical HOA controlled properties sprung up around it. Our property is permanently grandfathered out.

As part of their deal with the County they took over the previously-public road and built a diverted one around the estate. It was written into the contract with the county that we, subsequent owners and our guests would have a preserved right of access.

We've received notice the HOA we aren't even in intends to sue us for our share of replacing the now-delapidated road we never asked them to take control over.

My ultraMormon Mom commented how much she liked my earrings, so I bought her a pair. Last week she completely innocently wore her tapirs to sacrament meeting.

Was visiting some Mormon friends, and as they do, they said a prayer at some point. It wasn't aimed at me, just a prayer over food or something, but it was just weird. We thank you for your... not thee for thy...

Is that normal now?

After leaving, I got my nose and top of my ear pierced, as well as looking good, it was a bit of a statement. I'm not controlled by the Church's silly rules.

All of a sudden, the number of practicing Mormons I'm seeing with second holes, noses and helix piercings has exploded.

Am I the only one who has noticed this?

Respect the wide diversity among us in our lives and relationships. Refrain from making prejudiced judgments about the life journeys of others. Do you foster the spirit of mutual understanding and forgiveness which our discipleship asks of us? Remember that each one of us is unique, precious, a child of God.

As per Dallas Hoax, 2015, the church neither seeks nor gives apologies. As per Kevin S Hamilton, 2023, we should substitute "the savior" or "Jesus Christ" for "the church".

So, Jesus Christ neither seeks nor gives apologies.

From one of the few Mormon friends I still have, I found I've been the subject of the RS gossip mill.

The actual story is we'd been looking after my BIL's 2 little girls while he was recovering from hip replacement surgery. We took them back home, and on the way back were too tired to drive so found a cheap but clean motel for some shut eye.

The rumor mill, not even in my old ward, just the same stake, had it that I'd been seen "half dressed, like a hooker" - which probably means a short tank top, kissing some random boy then going with him into some sleazy fleabag motel.

"Tall young man, looks like Ron Weasley? That'll be her husband".

"She's gotten herself married? such a sweet young girl, I'm so happy for her!"

So in the space of a minute, I'd gone from Robyn Rentapussy to such a sweet young girl. Go fuck yourself you old bag.
