Suche mechanische Tastatur

Meine Komponenten:

  • Ryzen 9 9900X
  • Rx 9060XT 16gb
  • Ram: 64Gb DDR5-6000
  • SSD: Kingston Fury Renegade G5 (PCIe 5.0)
  • Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120

Was meint ihr denn dazu?

CPU for FEA Simulations (9900x vs 7900x)

Hey, I am building my first computer and currently looking for a high performance CPU.

I want to use the PC mainly for doing FEA Simulations at University (Ansys Static Structural if any FEA NErds are here :) )
Afaik for this type of simulations the most important factor is Clockspeed and not the number of cores. Therefore I am looking for a CPU with great single core performance and around 8- 12 cores.

(I also want to play some games in my freetime, but that shouldnt really matter)

I found the Ryzen 9 9900x and the Ryzen 9 7900x to look quite promising.

In Germany the 9900x costs around 330€ (385 USD) and the 7900 costs 280€ (325 USD) so there is a difference of 60 bucks.
The specs of both CPUs are very similar, both have 12 cores and a turbo clockspeed of 5.6GHz. The thing is that the 7900x is a bit older and still has the Zen 4 architecture. Also it has a higher TDP of 170W compared to the 120W of the 9900x but it has a higher Base clockspeed (4.70 vs 4.40 GHz).

After all as far as i have read the 9900x has a slightly better performance due to the better Architecture (Zen 5 vs Zen 4) and is probably easier to cool.

Do you think the extra 60 bucks are woth it? Which one would you recommend to me?

And do you have even different suggestions for similar CPUs?

https://www.ebay.de/itm/366381543295?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=20006&mkrid=707-53477-19255-0&campid=5337412747&customid=N2NjMWVmNWM2MTdmMmM4Yw
