Shadow person

Several days ago, just after coming home from a trip to England, I woke in the middle of the night and saw a shadow figure.

I woke up but was crazy groggy and pretty out of it. I wanted to pull my curtains the rest of the way shut so I could sleep in the next morning. I was basically moving in my sleep I think. My bed is very close to the windows and I can sort of just put one foot down on the floor and reach up to pull the curtain shut. So that is what I did. For some reason as I was doing this I sensed more than saw(?) a very tall, dark figure with a wide brimmed hat just to the left of where I was reaching. I remember doing this sort of back and forth slapping motion with my hand before falling back into bed.

Did I slap the shadow hat man? Can you interact with this entity? I don't recall ever seeing him before this, or since. I have lived in this condo for almost 8 years and twice had something wake me up by sitting on the bed for a while before getting up and leaving again. While this was definitely unsettling I was never fearful. Before those times my dog definitely reacted to something that I couldn't see.

Thoughts? Advice? Recommendations?

Nottingham things to do

I will be in Nottingham 25 -27 Sep. What are some things to do that aren't necessarily geared towards tourists?

I will be attending a concert the evening of the 26th but no plans outside of that.

Ashes for black salt Question

I am going to make some black salt soon and have been saving the ashes of the incense I burn but I don't burn often because I have cats.

I do however smoke a cigar almost every night as a sort of reward for surviving another day. I always do this from sunset (ish) well into the dark. I spend the time watching the stars, satellites, and moon as they progress through the sky. This is something that I have been doing for a little over a year, before I started on my craft path.

Specifically for those that have been practicing for a long time, my question is this: can I use the ashes from my cigar , would it be appropriate, a good idea, okay, or whatever? I know "you do you" but I want opinions from long-time practitioners, not the tik tok or the "intention is everything" crowd. No disrespect intended.

Edited for clarity
