I found these ants on the side of the house. What are they doing? Can they do damages to the house?

First time homeowner, I’d like to benefit from your experience. First, how the wiring in the panel looks like?
Next, the grounding is done through the copper cables fix to the water pipe. We can see that it is corroded, is it an issue?
Also, a lot of outlets are marked as ‘open ground’ by a receptacle tester but many wires mentioned ‘with ground’ on them (on the last photo). What could be the problem?
Finally, there are over 20 outlets and switches (on the 3 level of the house) on the single bottom-left breaker circuit. Isn’t that too much?

Can I install an under cabinet range hood directly on the drywall without a cabinet?
