Could this be mold?

Hello! We found two separate areas in our place where these black/blue dots are appearing. At first we thought it could be a scuff, but then we found the second area and took a closer look at them. It’s not flat on the wall, and doesn’t look like paint removed or anything along the lines of that. I’m pretty perplexed and wondering if there could be an issue with mold / moisture that we might need to investigate…

Not asking for an ID here! Just what it could potentially be / if anyone has had something similar and could give us some guidance. If the group thinks it may be then we will have a professional come in and have it tested / inspected. Just don’t want to go that route if we don’t have to!

Help Me Find a Flattering Swimsuit PT.2!

Back again with some more swimsuit options! I did not love any of my previous options. I bought some more things to try / mix and match based off of recommendations + feedback from my last post. I realized that I would ultimately feel more comfortable with some more coverage, so that was my goal here! Please keep in mind, my biggest insecurity areas are my stomach and arms! Please be totally honest! I don’t want to hear what I want, I want to find what suits me best!

What’s new: one piece swimsuits, board shorts, swim skirt, mid rise bottom instead of high waist.

Here are my thoughts on the new options, focus on the fit here! If there is a suit/combination you like, but dislike the top/color/pattern, please leave suggestions! Also, please note I’m wearing the same top in these for consistency! I will explore top options once I find a good set of bottoms if that’s the right direction!

  1. Not bad! Feel much more comfortable. I am worried about the side profile on this one, I fear it makes my stomach look… well big lol. Otherwise I don’t hate it. Also think it may not be flattering in the crotch region?
  2. I think this one is relatively flattering, but I’m not sure about the pattern, side profile, and the “frilly” parts on the top. I think it’s maybe “matronly” and makes my arms look bigger.
  3. The focus here is on the bottoms. I think this is my favorite option so far! It feels the most like me, but I’m unsure. Would definitely explore different top options.
  4. The focus here is on the bottoms. Comfortable with coverage, but not the most flattering. These are my husbands swim shorts, I just wanted to explore that as an option. Would definitely explore different top options.
  5. I wanted to post something with a “mid rise” bottom instead of the high waist. I got many recommendations to try a mid rise bottom. Still uncomfortable for me because I feel so exposed!

Additionally, I couldn’t respond to everyone, but I really appreciate all the feedback! It’s very helpful as I learn and grow to accept myself and my body. This is a long journey for me, I can’t thank you enough!

Hello! I (23F) need help finding a flattering swimsuit. I have always had issues with my self confidence, and swimwear is the hardest thing for me! I recently lost 30lbs, and decided to branch out and try some two piece swimsuits for the first time. I feel so exposed!

It’s very difficult to try and find a swimsuit that covers your stomach, covers your arms, isn’t showing too much butt, that is actually cute. I really dislike the extremely “matronly” looking styles and want to feel confident and age appropriate in a swimsuit! These are what I have tried so far, but there are little things I dislike on all of them. Maybe two piece / bikinis just aren’t for me! If that’s the case, WHERE CAN I FIND A CUTE SWIMSUIT!! My biggest insecurities are as mentioned before (in order) my stomach, arms, and butt.

Here are my general thoughts on each:

  1. I think the overall fit is okay, but I’m not a fan of the look from the side (unflattering on stomach) and back (unflattering on butt)
  2. Just overall feels unflattering, feel large from side, butt coverage more flattering?
  3. Bottoms slightly tight, again, don’t love side profile, overall fit a little uncomfortable
  4. Butt more flattering, but bottoms squeeze a little too much, would go up one size, doesn’t feel flattering on stomach
  5. Dislike pattern, and feels too conservative in a way / not cute? The most comfortable.
  6. Off shoulder / front is matronly. Not flattering overall.
  7. An absolutle no. This is what I want to avoid. Way too matronly, not age appropriate. Ages me.

Looking for opinions on these suits or for any recommendations that I may like! Help!

What are options to reduce my calf size?

Hello everyone! I (23F) am hoping to get some outside opinions because I’ve always been insecure about my calves. It definitely affects my confidence and what I feel comfortable wearing, because I feel like my calves look disproportionately large on my body.

For context, I’m 4’9” and currently 128lbs. I’ve lost about 30lbs over the past 6-7 months (from around 162lbs in Nov 2025). While my calves / legs have gotten a little smaller, they still seem much larger than the rest of my frame. I’ve done martial arts for most of my life, so I’ve always had a bit of muscle in in my calves, but I’m struggling to tell whether what I’m seeing is muscle, remaining fat, or something else. I’ve been told it’s mostly muscle, but regardless of that, I can’t stand them! I just want to feel confident in shorter skirts/shorts/dresses.

What are the options for reducing calf size? I know there’s no real way to target fat/muscle loss working out. My husband mentioned he saw something for “calf botox” to slim them down… but not sure if that’s recommended/what the gold standard is for stuff like this.

Any advice / guidance is appreciated! I attached some photos of my calves for reference.

Down 30+lbs, but calves are still quite large. Muscle, fat, genetics?

They feel fairly firm overall, except for when I’m sitting, I can feel a bit of “squishiness.”

As I’m continuing my weight loss journey, I’m trying to understand if this is just my natural “body shape” or if there’s I should look into further / if there’s anything I can do about them. I’ve briefly wondered about things like water retention or lipedema, but I’m honestly not sure so I’m starting here! I do often get muscle cramps / tension in my calves.

If anyone has any insight or deals with something similar that would be amazing! Is there anything I can do / should consider? I’ve included photos on my flat feet + on tip toes to show any muscle definition. I’d really appreciate any advice or thoughts! Thank you!
