About myself. Just resigned from job as an AI Engineer. Left Bangalore after 3 years of working there. Travelled a lot on bike to the point of having backpain. Bought a second hand car (12kmpl) and travelled with it in the past two months. I don't feel like there's any point in working unless the yearly salary = total wedding expense (according to my current situation). So I have decided to stay unemployed for a while doing freelance under the name of entrepreneurship.

What is something interesting you do and can suggest! Also what about saving some money and going to some Matheran trip via carpooling (fuel amount split). Give me some ideas.

Bought a used SX4 and drove it around 1000km. It was Overheating and AC was being cut off on highway cruising/on mountains. AC works if I don't go above 60 kmph.

I noticed rust inside the Radiator Cap. And when I bought it, it was greenish water filled instead of coolant. When I took it to the Maruti Suzuki Authorised service centre for the first time they changed all filters, engine oil and something else and charged ₹4700. They didn't fix it nor identify the issue.

Then I took it to another Maruti Authorised service centre - they just gave it back saying it had no problems the next day.

I don't know whether an OBD scan could find the issue with the SZ viewer + ELM v1.5 (I couldn't find one that works online) connected to the diagnostics port.

But after checking I found a little bit of green colour next to the thermostat today. With the radiator cap off, the moment I turned on the engine with the key, an amount of coolant jumped out of the radiator cap and with the engine still being on for a minute - I saw no visible movement in the coolant - maybe because the engine wasn't hot and it doesn't circulate until it gets hot (please correct me I don't know how it is).

Then there is grease under the head gasket walls. I'll attach pictures of everything please check. And no mechanic from both Maruti Suzuki Authorised service centres said that's a problem. But I think that too is an issue. Suppose if I replace the thermostat unit or water pump - the rust will still damage it right. Should I go for chemical cleaning the rust or change the radiator assembly fully. If so what all to change. I think one service centre guy told me the radiator leak was fixed with m-seal somewhere. Both fans are working (whenever I noticed) and as I turn off the engine and keep the key on. Both fans keep running for 2-5 minutes until the temperature needle in odo drops cool. And idling on a cold start takes 2-3 minutes to drop below 1000rpm (is this normal? Haven't driven an sx4 before).

What should I check. Where can I repair it. The current location is Kollam, Kerala and I don't mind taking it anywhere to Trivandrum, Alleppey, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta or Ernakulam for fixing it.
