I haven’t updated since before the marketplace as I just now started playing again after some months. Did the updates actually fix that much that it’s worth having to update my mods?

Hi! This is probably a dumb question but I can’t find the automatic checkout for gift shops and the automatic ticket machine. Where are they/how do I unlock them?
