Always stressing about them. Different things always stress me out when owning gerbils..Can anyone relate?

Whether it's their nails, noses, scent glands, teeth..everything causes me grey hairs. It's 5:53am and I worry how I have not heard any chewing in a day and my brain immetiatly goes.. are their teeth overgrowing? Anyone else, please?🥲

Give me a picture of your FIRST gerbils! Here's my boys; Cicero (left) and Techi (right)

These are my babies. Got em 2021. They were born november 2020. Both passed at 2023 summer. I was not a perfect gerbil parent, but these two for sure taught me a lot. Miss these bros ❤️

Welp we found a protein source they both enjoy. Live mealworms.

Soo yeah it's not pretty to look at, but they love it 😅 My brother is keeping live mealworms and their beetles as food for pur rankins and I gave it a go... They love it. And after slurping that worm like a noodle, they were looking for more.

Picky for protein. Tips?

I worry a bit if they get enough protein or not. They get mealworms among their everyday dry food, but I have never actually seen them eating one. Especially Tara (behind the big eyed lady gerb) is very picky and refuses to eat almost any fresh vegetable and fruit except banana in a very rare moments.

I have tried mealworms, crickets and mini fishes so far but they refused. So..any tips?

Tilly's always been the chaotic one but she looks suspiciously polite in this pic! (If anyone wants to edit this pic to make her look even more proper, go ahead lol)

(Older photo, I'm good now) but my finger got like this after my rankins dragon accidentally bit the tip of my finger.

Easily peeling, kind of blistering, warm, darker and alightly "harder" than the rest of my fingers. Any guesses what happened here?

She acts normal and curious, she eats fine (often a bit too fine lol), eyes are symmetrical, not crusty or bloody nor do they itch. They just..are big. So..is this normal?😅 My other girl's eyes are not this big!
