back cracking

hello! i had a half spinal fusion on the top half of my back a couple of years ago. around where it feels like the top of where my rods are, it cracks sometimes. it feels like a short build up and a little painful but nothing unbearable, just quite strange. it’s been doing it a lot more, like once a day at this point and im just not sure if this is what it’s supposed to do???

just something neat that happened to me

hey to start off i just wanted to say that im probably doing a lot wrong and it means nothing and if you think it has no meaning that’s okay but i would like to remain ignorant and thinking i had a nice moment

i worship greek gods and years ago began to worship hypnos & thanatos (i don't consider myself a helpol just because i honestly just tend to just do whatever i feel is right in my worship which isn’t exactly helpol but idk where else to put this post). i took a break from religion a couple years ago, when i regifted the items and candles on the altar without thinking or knowing why it would be wrong to do. ever since i was reached out to by hermes i've been thinking about it a lot and wanting to apologize for my ignorance and try to build a bond again (even if i am a hermes devotee and really have no business worshipping/working with thanatos or hypnos anymore), though i haven't had much motivation to do anything about it until a few days ago. i used to always pick up those little flowers at sushi places and place them on thanatos' altar, just as a little gift to say hello i still care about you basically. when i went to dinner, i picked one up and set it on a offering plate with a candle. about mid way through my prayer/apology, vindicated starts playing?? vindicated is on my playlist, but i wasn't listening to it, nor would i be playing music during (this) prayer in the first place! after thinking about it a while i thought it could be a sign that i was okay. after the prayer, i sleep, and it was some of the BEST sleep i've had after some recent sleep issues which i haven't had after initially praying to hypnos years ago. the next morning, the first video i play practically opens with "I have been vindicated in the eyes of god." it wasn't a helpol video nor a religious video at all, but the thought that it could mean something is very sweet in my opinion and i feel a lot better about myself

i feel like giving up

hello everyone! to start this off, i have been a part of this religion for about four years now, on and off. i’ve been dealing with a lot of these feelings for a while now, but i’ve hesitated posting, since most of the reason i have feelings like this is the community itself. I’ve waited for it to try and work itself out, but it’s getting so unbearable.
I have a multitude of mental health issues and some but not entirely deeply rooted religious trauma. outside of religion, i have an intense special interest on the (first) game hades, and it’s what actually opened me up to hellenism in the first place. when i started practicing, i was naive and kind of just doing whatever i felt was right. i truly felt like the gods accepted me with open arms, and my sleep issues that i had struggled with since i was a toddler went away almost instantly once i started working with hypnos. about a year later, i simply lost interest, but i kept his altar up until about a year ago, when i took it down and replaced it. at the time, i reused the candle for something else without knowing that was like one of the things you should not do the most. i feel terrible about it. every day i tell myself i’ll apologize to him and set up a new altar but i just never have the motivation to.
the reason i came back to hellenism is what i believed to be hermes reaching out to me. the energy i felt was UNDOUBTEDLY hermes, and i have to admit i did feel special, since when i researched, apparently it’s very rare to have a god reach out to you. i once again welcomed the religion with open arms, and now hermes has a nice space on my nightstand.
my issues started not too long after i started worshiping hermes. at first, it started off as abandonment issues. once i noticed him, it was like as quickly as he came on to me, he left. every time his presence would fade, i would become so anxious that he was leaving me that i think i truly lost the plot when it came to worshipping him and instead became dependent on him. that feeling left in a matter of days, though, and i do still worship hermes. once my abandonment issues were more stable, i started researching more about how to worship gods.
i have always been the first to say that religion is a personal experience and that no one should have more say over how your religious experience happens than you do, but i have to admit the tiktok helpol community has brought me down significantly. i used to be able to laugh at the videos demeaning others’ religious experiences, but the more i feel like i’m being told i’m not good enough, the harder it is to ignore it. i just feel like I’m damned if I do, damned if i don’t. i want to continue my worship and love for hermes, but it’s just so hard to have the motivation when everything is so demanding and i’m so overwhelmed and sensitive for no reason. sometimes i just can’t tell if the religion isn’t for me or if i am okay and people just like to act holier than thou. i know that the gods aren’t mad at me i just don’t know what to do anymore. i don’t want to continue bothering them if the ways i practice is really too immature or not complex enough. i don’t mean to disrespect them, i really don’t, i research as much as i can but there’s so much conflicting information i don’t know what to believe anymore. please try to be as kind as you can imm really struggling thank you and i’m sorry for making a post that’s probably been made thousands of times

edit: guys i don’t research on tiktok. i look at hades content on there and it naturally comes up with helpol content sometimes

guilt/doubt?

hello everyone!! i’m new to worshipping hermes, and i’ve been feeling a lot of emotions that i would rather get off my chest and try to discuss with other people that know what they’re talking about than keep it to myself.
to start off, i’m new to worshipping hermes, but not the gods in general. years ago, i started worshipping/working with a couple other gods, but i fell off since then. a couple weeks ago, i decided to delve into my old fixations somehow, and along the way, hermes came up. it started from seeing a photo, and until i realized it was his presence, there was a strange feeling i wasn’t able to shake.
once i realized this presence was hermes himself, i accepted him with open arms.
once i started worshipping him, the doubt started. i wouldn’t say i doubted hermes as much as i doubted myself in our relationship. every time i felt his presence pull away, even after hours of the euphoria that is hermes, i became increasingly more worried that he wouldn’t come back, like a clingy girlfriend that can’t handle a moment of silence. i also started doubting if it really is hermes—many people i’ve found experience seeing or feeling him, and all i have to prove him reaching out to me is *vibes.* the doubt in itself makes me feel guilty, and i kind of don’t know how to handle it. i don’t want to give up in him and i most definitely don’t want him to give up in me but sometimes it’s so hard to keep faith when i just get so scared, and i don’t even know where the fear comes from.
is this normal? is there anything i can do to ease my fears? i know he isn’t mad at me and he understands, i just don’t want to be.. too much.
ps.. sorry if i sound a bit insane or naive when it comes to the gods.
