Marketplace Impact Wrench - Before & After

Picked up this RIW18X off marketplace for 140 AUD. Gave it a good clean and it turned out better than I expected. Pretty happy with it for the price so I thought I’d share :D

Mod recommendations

Wanted I'd make a post to see if there's any good mods that I may have missed. Apart from the exhaust and diffuser which the previous owner installed, here’s is a list of everything I've done.

• UEL headers + tune
• Front and rear lights
• Wheels + tires
• Rear Shifter bushing
• Trans Mount insert
• Diff Mount insert kdt925
• Quality Fluids
• Headunit
• Shift knob + trims
• Clutch pedal adjustment

Some mods l am planning include brake pads, shifter springs and one day, some Shockworks Coilovers.

I'm wondering if anyone has mods they’d recommend. Perhaps I left out a mod you really enjoy? TIA :)

Clutch pedal adjustment

To those of you who have adjusted the clutch pedal, how much did you lower it to? I found the pedal feels pretty different the lower you go and am curious if anyone’s figured out a a good height? How low is too low?

Is it fine if there’s a small gap between the clutch switch? I can’t seem to get it flush as the sensors all the way in.

As for the clutch spring which I saw was recommended I seem to prefer the lighter lower effort stock spring opposed to the 2 from gktech.

Engine & Diff crush washer question

Would these crush washers be suitable for the engine sump plug (16mm) and diff drain and fill plugs (18mm).

Additionally I’ve also read the transmission simply uses two gaskets, not crush washers. And that its safe to reuse them. Is that true?

Any input would be greatly appreciated thank :)

Custom "Slip On" Pedal Spacer RHD

Decided to design and print this slip on pedal spacer out of PETG in order to slightly raise the throttle pedal while using the factory bolts.

Pedal spacers are generally upwards of 20mm and for me, this brought the gas pedal too high up, especially when braking.

This setup only adds 7mm of height, which helped more than I expected. It improves throttle accessibility when braking while still leaving enough thread engagment to secure the pedal safely.

I also altered a pedal stop I found online to suit the new pedal height and still allow for full throttle travel.

Heres a link to the spacer and pedal stop on Thingiverse.

This was made for my RHD car and I am not sure if it would work at all on a LHD car.
