Already one of the best decisions I've ever made

I had my surgery in early may and am fully healed as of a couple weeks ago. I got my tonsils out because of chronic tonsillitis for almost a year which had an intense impact on my body and wellbeing. I was getting infections every three weeks on the dot and antibiotics never did much except ruin my gut biome. I also would get infections any time I got the flu or a common cold.

I have now gotten sick for the first time since before my surgery, and the difference is insane. Being able to struggle through a normal cold or flu rather than having to deal with an infection on top of illness is truly amazing. Obviously being sick isn't a fun experience but compared to what I was going through this past year, this is infinitely more manageable.

Over the next six months or so I will get an even better sense of the effects of removing my tonsils, and being sick, but I am very hopeful and optimistic about my future illnesses.

Going on a greece cruise with family...what should I do for fun?

In august, I (18F) am going on a celebrity "best of greece" cruise on the Celebrity Infinity with my dad, grandparents, and sister. My sister is under 18 and will still be allowed into teen clubs; however, this is my first time not being a minor on a ship (therefore not allowed in teen clubs), and I am worried about socializing. I usually rely on the teen clubs to meet people and do stuff in the evenings, but now I am worried I am going to be alone for it. This is also the first ship where I am at the legal drinking age and am interested in going to the bars. I am also autistic and find it very hard to socialize, so the teen/kids clubs are my saving grace.

My question is, how do I have fun without my family? How do I meet people to hang out with onboard when I don't want to hang out with my family or my sister is gone at the teen club?

How do i help my friend

My (18) friend (17) is currently going through a psychotic episode and I dont know how to help her. Shes been in so much therapy and is already seeing multiple doctors. She recently was released from SickKids hospital on a voluntary hold. She wont talk to her doctors about how bad shes feeling because shes scared they are going to 5150 her. Her doctors wont believe that she is psychotic and refuses to raise her antipsychotic med dose to a working amount.

I am so worried about her. She is struggling a lot and i dont know how to help her as ive never met anyone as ill as her and i feel so helpless. I cant even imagine what she is going through.

Im looking for advice on helping her, even small things that could help her quality of life be a little better.

I dont even know if this is the right subreddit for what im looking for but i dont know where to go.
