Do you prefer a thick or thin les Paul neck?

So I like to shred but I also like Les Pauls. My first high end Les Paul was an Edwards John Sykes model and the previous owner shaved the neck down. Nice and skinny neck. Took me through college. After collecting a couple more Les Pauls I ended up really enjoying big heavy Les Pauls with thin necks. 7 string LPs too. I never enjoyed the big necks on those IBG epiphones. Also on that JJN Les Paul. The other neck that sticks in my mind is this vintage Gibson firebird I repaired the nut on at my old tech job. That was INSANE.

I ended up buying This edwards gold top with a PHAT neck. It was an online purchase from guitar center so there was no spec info on this 50s baseball bat. I hated it at first. But then I found it someone comfortable in some contexts but unplayable in others. The thing I hate about this guitar is it’s amazing but the neck is the deal breaker. may return it. But this just had me thinking. Who enjoys 50s thick necks and why?
