I'm looking to get into the games/anime and want to know what the best order to engage in each piece of media is. When should I watch which anime? Should I watch an anime adaptation before or after I play their game? Which version of the games should I play as someone who knows none of the characters and just wants the Definitive versions. Is it worth playing both versions of the games like Thunderflash and Wildfire. Would love anyone's opinions on picking the best path to go :)

After Sony stated that they'd be pulling their single player offerings from PC, aswell as Xbox now marketing console exclusivity for Gears and Clockwork Revolution (which feels like a slippery slope for PC), I feel like there should be some pushback.

We were so close to a world where exclusives were dead, and platforms had to prove themselves on their other merits like performance, user experience, cost benefit etc. and now that doesn't matter. Wherever you wanted to play games, the games would be there, and it was really exciting to see as someone who loves their high-end pc, and has no plans on buying a console.

What's most worrying though to me is seeing the uproarious praise that "exclusives are back" or that "this is what consoles need" or "the console wars are finally back".

To me at least, this is a sign of an unhealthy industry, a very tribal mindset where you pick your team and back it no matter what and I hate seeing us not just moving in this new direction, but cheering it on.

Anyways I feel like I'm going crazy, and it's disappointing when I watch youtubers I usually like watching get excited when they hear shit like Sony's pulling away from Steam, or that Xbox is finally back.

At least FFVII Revelation is coming multiplat day 1, thats pretty neat

I’m genuinely trying to see what the reason is behind this but after going through every song in their discography I’m trying to piece why each song here sounds basically identical. When I first got into GK I listened to Alchemist which I still think is one of their best songs, but since then every song that’s been published has sounded the exact damn same, and a kind of drab, like none of their music is hitting the highs I’ve seen them hit. Everything’s in the same key, there’s not a lot of interesting riffs or baselines we get, melodically it’s very flat, like listening to someone play in G Major and not ever changing the sound. I will say Tea Leaves and Pox are the two standouts where they differentiate their style and I think it sounds a lot better for them, that could be them literally just playing in minor, slowing the tempo, or the vocals not having time to sound a bit better and less rushed. I’m tryna see if this a command take or if there’s something people think is the reason. Everytime I listen to good kid I feel like I’m listening to a C-tier band with S-tier potential

Anyways not an attack on the people, they seem like nice blokes, they fund their music videos with indie animators and make their songs DMCA free which are both cool moves, just curious for opinions

Just got mine today and after some testing I went to use the trackpads and bro being able to lie back and use my controller as a mouse while scrolling online is so good like holy. I want to find more uses for the controller entirely but just this already makes it so worth it to me.
