Locals to Transplants in Tampa
What is one thing the locals wish the transplants knew about living in Tampa? Either something about the environment that might not be common knowledge and should be respected or cultural norms you think transplants might not be aware of and should, etc.
these are some of the things I've found in other places I didn't know.
- The heat and humidity from May through October are unrelenting, complete with near-daily, rapid afternoon thunderstorms. learn to schedule all outdoor activities in the mornings.
- Many long-time Tampa natives hold beliefs that locals invented the Cuban sandwich (and it must include salami?). Any suggestions on where to find a good Cuban sandwich?
- Gasparilla.
