text book

My course starts in a week and I wanted some advice on the recommended text book i.e. Emergency Care, 14th edition. Is it ok to 'rent' it for six months or am I better off buying a copy? Thanks.

Mongolia travel

My wife and daughter are going on a 12 day tour to Mongolia with View Mongolia tour company. All tickets and accommodations have been booked. My question is regarding how much cash to carry as I understand outside of Ulaanbaatar , credit cards may not be acceptable. Things like tips, some meals that one has to pay for, etc ....Thank you.

71 year old wanting to become an EMT

I retired a couple of years ago and having been used to 60 hour weeks for decades, I have way too much time on my hands and the itch to do something meaningful with it. Have always been a helpful person and thought why not become an EMT! Have signed up for a course that starts in about 2 months and quite pumped. Am I crazy?? I am not in it for the money, just to be clear.

I have been using a moka pot (bialetti) for the last few years and generally been very happy....i usually make it twice within an hour and what i see of late is that my first cup is excellent while the second cup is a bit more diluted....same amount of water and same amount of coffee....i wonder if is because the gasket was heated during the first cup and even despite rinsing it has expanded and so the second cup is affected negatively?
