Huge respect to Bangalore police as a foreigner and the guy who was working in the road side parking lot near the MG road metro station yesterday
Hi, I was in Bangalore for a couple of days and went out with my boyfriend near Church Street. We parked our bike at the MG Road side parking and paid for four hours. We were initially reluctant to leave our helmet there, but my boyfriend asked the guy who gave us the ticket and he assured us it would be safe.
We came back around 10:45 and couldn’t find the helmet anywhere. We called the police and they arrived within ten minutes. They asked us to go to the police station near Cubbon Park, and while we were on the way, my boyfriend got a call from the police officer saying he had managed to contact the staff working at the parking lot.
Turns out, since the staff member didn’t see us return by around 10:30, he took the helmet and kept it somewhere safe instead of leaving it outside. We went back and the guy handed it back to us.
Just wanted to appreciate both the Bangalore police and the man working at the parking lot. Small things like this genuinely leave a good impression on people travelling through the city. Thankyou for a memorable lesson on kindness 🫡❤️
