Hi everyone! Looking for some advice here.

I'm trying to see what to do with this beginners class. (they've only been taking classes since April)

Tomorrow I'm having my class observed by one of the directors of the institute I'm working at, so I really want to do things right. Now, the thing is, this group is a bit particular. It's an in-company beginners online class of 3 students, of which one comes to class once every two or three weeks (we have classes twice a week), and another girl has been on leave for about two weeks now, so we've had classes only with one of them over this period.

So, I wonder now what I can do tomorrow, as probably (but not certain) the student who'd been on leave is coming back to class and the other student (the one that's always absent) might even join.

What do you generally do when you have this problem of so many people being absent and then having them together again with the others who have been attending regularly?

Next year I would very much like to visit your beautiful country and I need some advice.

First of all it's hotel reservations. I'm fine with just a bed and a clean toilet with a shower and if possible air conditioning because I'm going in summer and temperatures get really hot. But the thing is, I'd really like to be there for the sun eclipse next year and these types of events are massively popular so I thought of making reservations now, but found that the one hotel I saw doesn't allow to book so far in advance. Is this the case for all hotels? I know it probably sounds outrageous to think of booking a room more than one year in advance, but these events are absolutely massive and I don't want to wait and find later that there's nothing available anymore. So, I wanted to have your perspective.

Also on the subject of Airbnb, is it trustworthy to book through them? I'm aware that this sounds terribly discriminatory but I've heard stories of last minute cancellations in order to charge more during massive events like these. (again, I know how absolutely biased and discriminatory it sounds so I apologize in advance, I really don't want to disrespect anyone).

Then, about visa requirements, I called the embassy today and they said among other things I need either a letter of invitation or a hotel reservation, or maybe both? Do you think a hotel reservation would be enough? And this is another thing I've heard, do you have to declare your religion? I don't have one (not atheist but just not religious), but it's better to know if that's a requirement.

And then there's the issue that I'm a woman and I'd be travelling alone. Should I cover up? I'm not planning to wear shorts and tops obviously, but maybe short sleeves in the evening when the sun goes down. And since we're talking about clothes: how do you dress for the intense heat of the summer? What do you recommend?

And finally I'd appreciate advice on where to go, what to see, how many days you recommend for each place, any tips are most welcome.

And one last thing I didn't mention: I'm planning to learn French and maybe a bit of Arabic as I'd really like to talk to locals and make friends :-)

Hi, my cat is 19 and is having trouble drinking water. I took her to the vet today and she was very dehidrated. She hadn't eaten anything and looked a bit lethargic. At the clinic they administered hypodermic fluids, checked her temperature, gave her an atibiotic because her teeth were completely full of plaque and had a bad smell, so that was probably causing her pain, which made it difficult for her to eat or drink water. At home, after about an hour she ate some pate (Hills for senior cats) but couldn0t drink water. She tries but she licks once or twice and that's it. I suppose it's because she's in pain. She really wants to deink and gets frustrated and sort of puches the bowl.

I gave her wet food and she got diarrhea twice (second time very watery) and now I'm concerned she'll get more dehydrated.I I've tried giving her water with a syringe in the corner of her mouth, but she really doesn't let me. Now she's protesting cos she wants either water or food. I don't know what to do.

I'm taking her for a follow up check up tomorrow morning, but until then, what do I do?

Buenas! Habrá alguna veterinaria que hagan consultas a domicilio cerca del centro? O que tengan servicio a domicilio, no importa dónde esté la clínica. Y sobre todo alguna que conozcan y que sea buena. Necesito para mi gata que es muy anciana y no me gusta estresarla para llevarla a consulta a no ser que sea urgente por que se estresa muchísimo.

Bueno, nada, esto es rant de un día de miércoles. Odio cómo la tecnología nos tiene agarrados de las bolas. Resulta que hoy a Google se le ocurrió sacarme de todos mis perfiles y no me llegó nunca la maldita notificación. Perdí de dar una clase del instituto donde trabajo por no poder iniciar sesión ni siquiera en los otros perfiles. Es que mi teléfono es medio viejito y debe ser que no tiene no se qué actual y la p. que lo re mil re p.....

Oooodio tener que gastar plata en algo que no quiero. Odio que me obliguen a gastar plata en algo que no quiero.

Para los que preguntan cómo no tenía un plan B si trabajo en educación: Doy clases virtuales por GoogleMeet. No fue un problema de planificación sino directamente de no poder conectarme para la clase.

Y sí, me rompe las bolas tener que comprar un teléfono nuevo cuando con el que tengo me arreglo bien para lo que me interesa que es usar wpp y hacer llamadas, ver boludeces en reddit y no mucho más.
