Colorado Rapids explore stadium name change as Dick's Sporting Goods deal nears

I feel like it'll probably stay Dick's but wouldn't be surprised if CommonSpirit or UCHealth came in

Cat drooling, drinking water

Hi, all. My 2-year-old orange tabby cat Cowboy is having some issues with excessive drooling. When I came home on Sunday, I found piles of drool, a little vomit (which is not super uncommon for him, as sometimes he eats too fast). He had also drank his entire bowl of water in less than 24 hours, which is sort of uncommon. He seemed to be acting normal so I did some chores and scrubbed my bathtub. I do not think he got in it.

He cuddled me after and was dripping on me, so I went to the emergency vet Sunday night. He stopped drooling when he got there but did so intermittently while we were there for about 6.5 hours. The vets did not seem very concerned and did not treat it like an emergency. Confirmed no ulcers in his mouth. He was eating and drinking and no weird poops or pees, but he had a high end of normal creatinine.

The vet tested his blood gave us IV & Zofran and sent us on our way.

What does a vet do to test if he has eaten something toxic? Do they normally just take blood? There are no toxic flowers here. All of my scents have been here for the entire 2 years he’s been here.

He drooled a bit Monday but it had stopped by the evening (stayed home from work to monitor him). But on Tuesday, when I came back from work, he was drooling profusely again. He also coughed a few times and once seemed like he would throw up, but didn’t.

He is eating and drinking completely normal and has normal energy levels. Still wants to play a lot.

Since he is drooling again but acting normal and eating / drinking / peeing normal, I’m not sure what to do. The vet had said that the main symptoms of emergency are not drinking/eating, low energy, etc. But I can’t help but worry

I have also never seen him have a hairball so I have suspensions he could have one. What does that typically look like?
