Is there a coworking spot/events scouting app?

Is there a coworking finding tool that I can use it find nearby spots. Also 3 years since remotely working and I feel working alone from a random place is boring. Not marketing but started to build a tool if doesn't exists which can show nearby coworking spots and also host coworking sessions.

You can browse coworking sessions happening nearby, join one, or create your own.

Sharing this as I genuinely felt boring sometime traveling while working remotely. I have worked in premium cafes but without the right crowd around you.
You don't feel to sit with a laptop in a random place.

There were times where I searched on google maps to find a coworking cafe/place nearby. The photos looked pretty and the reviews and finally when I reached that place found that place to be literally empty. LOL

Remote working while solo traveling gets boring, an idea to find coworking mates/hostels nearby

I’ve been working remotely while traveling, and one thing I’ve noticed is that finding a cafe or coworking space is usually not the problem.

The harder part is finding someone to work with.
Most days, I’d end up opening my laptop in a random cafe, coworking space, or Airbnb by myself.
Not because I wanted to be alone, but because there wasn’t really an easy way to say:

“Hey, I’m working from this area today. Anyone want to cowork for a few hours?”

So I started building a small app called CoworkMate.

The idea is very simple.
You can browse coworking sessions happening nearby, join one, or create your own.

After traveling solo for a while as a digital nomad traveller, These are the ones which made my life easier and quite useful:

1- Google Maps
Probably the most used app for me. I save everything before landing — cafes, food spots, viewpoints, random places I find online. Makes exploring way easier once I’m there.

2- Booking.com
I usually use this for hotels and short stays. Pretty reliable and I like having flexible cancellation options when plans change.

3- Hostelworld
When I’m in a more social mood or traveling solo, this is my go-to. Way easier to meet people compared to hotels.

4- Instagram
This is honestly how I discover most places now. I just search the city name and go through reels/posts to find good food spots, hidden places, and local recommendations.

5- YouTube
Before going to a place, I watch a few recent vlogs just to understand the vibe, pricing, scams to avoid, and what things actually look like in real life.

6- Enpass
I store everything here — flight tickets, bookings, passwords, important documents. Super helpful when you need something quickly and don’t want to dig through emails.

7- Klook
Good for finding nearby activities, tours, or last-minute things to do. I’ve used it quite a bit in Southeast Asia.

8- FitSaver
I don’t always have access to a gym, so I end up finding quick 5–10 min mobility workout videos on Instagram.

Problem is, using saved folders is a mess and hard to find while in a mood of working out. This app organizes those and super easy to perform a quick workout.

9- Nomad Table
Some places are easy to meet people, some aren’t. When it’s the latter, it can get a bit isolating.
I’ve been trying Nomad Table to find small meetups or casual hangouts. Feels more natural than typical networking apps.

Curious what apps you all actually use while traveling — always looking to try new ones

Hey everyone,

A little while ago I posted here about MovieShelf, the physical media collection app I built for DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4Ks and how this community helped me build collection with all in one features.

A lot of you were honest about the biggest issue:

25 free imports didn’t feel like a real free tier.

That feedback was fair.

For a collection app, people need enough room to actually use it, test it, and see whether it fits their workflow before hitting a wall.

So I listened and changed it.

What changed

Free users are no longer limited to just 25 imports.

I still have a few paid/pro features for people who want the extra stuff, but the core cataloging experience is now much more open so you can actually use the app without immediately feeling blocked.

Why I changed it

A lot of the feedback on my last post was basically:

“I need a real free tier to even try this properly”

“subscription isn’t a fit for this category”

“Can’t really say about the app with just 25 free imports”

That all made sense.

This app is for collectors, and if the free experience feels too restricted, then I’m not really giving people a fair chance to decide whether it helps them.

What MovieShelf does

barcode scan

search & add

cover scan

custom fields

duplicate detection

track format / edition / packaging / audio / subtitles / region / shelf location / notes / condition / more

What I’m still focused on improving

The strongest feedback from this subreddit has been around:

boutique / edition-level matching

better version selection

exact cover handling

larger-collection workflows

Android

imports from existing collector setups

That feedback has been genuinely useful, and I’ve been taking it seriously.

So if you installed MovieShelf before and bounced because the free tier felt too limited, this is basically me saying:

I heard you. I changed it.

If you want to give it another shot, I’d love to know what you think now.

App Store:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/movieshelf-media-organizer/id6760224869

For the existing users, please update the app before using.

And if you still don’t think it’s the right fit, I’d still love to know:

What is the one feature that would actually make you switch from your current setup?
