Hey, not trying to cause drama here or anything, just wanted to ask about other opinions about this. Is portal community really a safe place to genuinely share your opinions and art here? Alot of my mutuals expirienced bullying on this community and i noticed it too. Pepole on here mostly care about memes and don't even allow slightest bit of mistakes. I wanted to make playable portal mod and comic inspired by Doug Rattman and Mel stories, surrounding 1950s, but at this point i might just give up. Just let me know what you think about all of this or if im imagining things

Hello, this is just a personal opinion and shouldn't be taken personally :)

So, i've seen alot of new posts surrounding Kane Pixels and the possibility of him making a portal movie. And to be honest even as a huge portal fan and it being my comfort game that helped me go through really rough times, im not as excited as others about the possibility of the movie being created. I have a gut feeling that portal will become another watered down franchise, like what happened to fnaf after fnaf movie, minecraft movie or any other remakes (not all of them of course, but some of them did get ruined). Even after the backrooms movie we can see pepole just "joining" the fandom and watering down all the depth of that movie. I am a backrooms fan since 2019 and i noticed the backrooms fandom isn't the same as it was. It doesn't feel like a community anymore that you can feel safe in, and its more of a popular boys humor with phonk edits and stupid ai memes in tiktok comment section, not mentioning backrooms being larped by big companies for profit. But i don't blame Kane for it at all, im really happy that one of my favorite creators is in the same fandom as me, and he wants to show tribute to portal as a great franchise. Its more about the community im scared about :,) So let me know what you think about it, and again, its just my opinion i wanted to share here. (And please excuse my poor punctuation and grammar, english is not my first language)

So i've been planning on making some sort of content for portal community (and to practice my story building -_-). And i've wanted to ask you all "fellow portal fans" if you'd be interested if i made a full on portal comic. (the comic will be drawn and written fully by me), focused on old aperture science when it was still active, in short i wanna elaborate more on characters from that era since i think they deserve more recognition. Maybe in the future im gonna make a playable portal mod (inspired by mel stories) about it with a team im going to comission since i raised enough money to do so. But for now i didn't start anything since i want to ask for your opinions in the first place. I don't wanna tell much details here for now beacuse im scared of someone stealing my storyline idea 🥲. But for now just let me know if you'd be interested in more old aperture surrounding content (Comic and probably in a few years mod, as i mentioned before). And excuse my poor grammar and language but english is not my native language and im writing this at night with my eyes half open😭.
