EV Charger / Consumer Unit Question

Looking at making the jump to an EV in the next 12 months and something just occurred to me - I’m not sure I could have a charging point fitted at the moment as my consumer unit doesn’t have any spare circuits on it. Do I now need to factor in having this replaced first or are there other options (I’m in the uk) - how can I check in advance of ordering the charging point? Don’t want the installer to come out and then drop a huge extra bill on me!

Looking to buy a mitre saw for various DIY projects around the home and am just after some user insight. Want to keep my budget below £150 so was looking at the following 3 options, broadly seem to similar but the Evolution & Hyundai options seem more compact which would be better and not sure I’ll ever need to cut timber wider than 9 inches…

Evolution R210SMS £115
Wickes 210mm 1800w £100
Hyundai HYMS1500E £120 (maybe slightly less if I subscribe to their newsletter)

The top 2 seem well reviewed in general. I can’t seem to find dimensions anywhere but I’m assuming the Evolution is more compact than the Wickes model given its smaller cutting capacity? Can’t find much on the 3rd option but the design is a little different / interesting and looks like it could need even less space for operation…
